!!!Please Read!!! I’m posting this for those who seem to not understand what LifeChangers is. LifeChangers is a 12 months faith based residential recovery program. It is provided 100% free and we are able to keep it free by doing small sidewalk fundraisers two occasionally three day a week. It is a nation wide ministry that started in Tennessee and has expanded all the way to the west coast. Our goal is to help people heal from drug addiction and other life controlling issues through faith in Jesus Christ. They are not a cult group nor are they a donation scam. We travel out of state to protect people from the areas that affected them and to find those seeking help around the country. The money received on fundraisers goes directly into supporting the hundreds of men and women nationwide who are seeking help with recovery. Nobody is forced to be there so if someone ends up back on the streets it is by their own choice and not the Will of anyone at LifeChangers and everyone who comes seeking help is welcomed. I know this first hand as I have been there both as a student and a staff member. James E. They yelled at my young daughter and would not leave her alone until she felt threatened and she donated because she was scared.

You have probably seen this ministry outside of your local dollar store. I donated once but never again. A gentleman in his mid 20's who had only been clean from heroin from a few days came by my ministry. When you are in ministry and deal with the public, it becomes pretty easy to tell when someone is either on or coming off of drugs. Turns out he was partnered with another guy who was running things, so I suppose he could best be described as a helper. I let him stay in the store and helped him made arrangements so he could get back home to Tennessee. Lifechangers was willing to leave him on the street in the middle of nowhere. I question what kind of organization would take someone fresh off of hard drugs and put them in a fundraising capacity, especially when "The expenses are incurred to provide a 12 month residential Christian ministry for men and women ages 18 and up who have problems in the area of drug and alcohol addictions, or any other life controlling issues." This is just my experience, since I know they are a large organization. Maybe they are a wonderful organization that changes people's lives. Maybe they are a fundraising racket that pads the pockets of a few insiders. Who knows. But they won't get any more money from me.

I had the pleasure of coming across this very nice man here in Williamsport/South Williamsport, Pa. a week ago. It is definitely at the right time in my life to see the words “life changing”. To be given hope and see someone who’s face is full of life because his life, is what I would assume, has changed for the better, made me want different in my own life. I would like to say thank you to the nice man who said such positive and powerful things to me. I needed it that day. So, thank you to him.
