Why Longbranch Healthcare? Longbranch treats the disease of addiction by addressing the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and family. We utilize a host of innovative, evidence-based modalities that assist individuals in creating meaningful and fulfilling lives in recovery. Longbranch Recovery Center offers a residential experience that treats addiction and co-occurring disorders with integrative and effective treatments to help build new lived in recovery. Treatment consists of individual counseling, group therapy, family workshops, yoga, exercise, meditation, and 12 step immersion. Located in Abita Springs, LA, Clients live in our beautiful retreat center, built in 2017, while receiving treatment. Our staff consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, licensed professional counselors, registered addiction counselors, nurses, a registered yoga teacher, and recovery advocates who are deeply passionate about helping clients reach their goals. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) allows clients to live at home and work while being supported and treated for substance use and co-occuring disorders. The program meets 3-days a week for group therapy with one of the groups being a family session with a licensed marriage and family therapist. Individual counseling occurs weekly in conjunction with physician visits. Longbranch Wellness utilizes medication assisted treatment, intensive therapy, and robust aftercare planning in a comfortable environment to inspire clients to recover. Longbranch Recovery Center is proud to partner with Tulane’s School of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences to provide unparalleled patient care for our residential clients. Tulane was awarded fellowships in addiction medicine and has chosen Longbranch Recovery Center as a site to train their fellows under the guidance of their Director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship program.

DON’T SEEK HELP for depression here. This is strictly a drug & alcohol program. BUT, they are HAPPY to keep all payment REQUIRED IN ADVANCE. The facility is lovely and the staff are qualified and passionate about their clients. Chad Grimm, CEO however, is only in it for the money.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone in need of treatment. They will take full payment for their program upfront, however will quickly boot a struggling addict out whenever they want. My 22 yr old son was battling addiction and successfully completed a 30 day inpatient rehab program. He went immediately from the inpatient to longbranch outpatient. His addiction was opiates and cocaine. After 1 random drug test that showed positive for alchohol only, not the illegal drugs that almost killed him, they released him after 10 days of a 45 day program with no care or regard to how it would affect him. The 40 days that he was sober was the longest in 3 yrs. He managed to remain sober for another 10 days before feeling like a failure and turning back to his addiction. I begged the staff to reconsider as I knew this would happen and without any care they coldly stated that it would not be an option. I am sure their ultimate goal was to hope he would fail so he would be placed back inpatient and their inpatient is conveniently located near our community. I know thru research support groups and the programs my son has attended that relapse is an unfortunate reality to rehab. WHY DONT THEY??? AND WHY DONT THEY CARE???
