Lydia’s House is a residential treatment center for women suffering from addiction located in Benham, Kentucky, near the foot of Black Mountain.
The tranquil community of Benham is in the southeast corner of Kentucky, in Harlan County.
The Benham Schoolhouse Inn was built in 1926 by the International Harvester Company as the school for coal camp children. Since that time, the town has worked to preserve its history, turning it into an inn.
At ARC, we are leading the way when it comes to combining drug treatment and vocational training that results in second-chance employment. We believe the solution to the nation’s workforce issues is lying dormant in the lives of those struggling with a substance use disorder. ARC’s Crisis to Career approach allows those suffering from substance use disorders to reenter the workforce and live flourishing lives.
The treatment program is holistic with CARF-accredited clinical programs, medical services directed by an addictionologist, a Christ-centered spiritual emphasis that includes the 12 steps and chaplaincy care, and a broadening scope of vocational training opportunities for clients.

Tameka Chandler1 StarMy daughter is in the Lydia House now. She has been treated unfairly and not given ovenight passes as the other women have. She is constantly threatened to be put out on the streets if she does not agree with staffs treatment. I called with questions about policies and for a number to corporate office or to speak with someone other than the rude staff membee that stated she is in charge and was not given any information....only confronted with sarcasm and threats to put my daughter out because of questions.Wednesday 25th August 2021

Ashley Belcher (Ashrenbel)5 StarI was recently at Lydia's house phase 1. I balked at the thought of going to a faith-based rehabilitation facility as many struggling with addiction will. The staff and interns at all of the ARC (Addiction Recovery Care) facilities are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They really do care and it shows. If you are struggling with addiction and have been to other rehabs where God was only mentioned in step 3, then I urge you to give it a chance. God really lives in that house and through the people there. Patience, open-mindedness and acceptance are just two of their MANY loving traits. I was in Elizabeth's room across the hall from Mary's room and beside Hannah's room which is adjacent to Sarah's room. These are not the names of clients, rather the names given to each room in the house so given because they are women of the Bible who had miraculous births. if you are ready to birth a miraculous new life then give Lydia's house a call I promise you you will be glad you did God bless and have a wonderful day.Sunday 12th January 2020
Amber Maiden5 StarThis place is a safe haven for anyone that is struggling with addiction or any kind of abuse. The staff are amazing and truly love everyone. I enjoyed getting closer to our Lord and saviour. I never imagined that going to treatment would be so wonderful but it truly is. I have applied all that I was taught and no longer want to fill my life with bad things. I have so much to be thankful for. Bruce Middleton5 StarI had taken my daughter to numerous rehab centers and she always relapsed. After spending 30 days here she moved on to phase 2 at Beth’s blessings. I can’t say enough good things about this place so I’m just gonna say I’m so greatful for everything they have done for my daughter. My daughter is back to her old self and has found the lord and been saved. Addiction is hell and if you want to change your life and you have to want to, then I recommend this place.Friday 13th July 2018
