I think the staff is so responsive to our needs whether putting a handle back on an appliance or help with personal challenges both physical and mental. Barb is good at everything and is always willing to help even in challenging situations. I have more interaction with neighbors here at Mason Pointe than I did when I lived in my former community. There are always people around if we need to talk to someone or need a ride. It’s an atmosphere of people helping each other out —like one big family. I think the people in food service try very hard to make the meals we choose interesting and appetizing. We really enjoy the daily happy hour in the pub.

One of the things from the very beginning that stands out to me is the friendliness of everyone here. Everyone is so outgoing and inclusive. There are many activities and choices of ways to spend your time. Before coming to Mason Pointe, I was busy everyday trying to move and downsize and it was constant headaches with maintenance and repairs and now I am free of all that and can enjoy life. There are many ways that you can volunteer and you can be as involved as you want to be. Living here is carefree!

The size of the apartments is very generous, and the appliances in the apartments are first class. The staff here work hard to meet the needs of all the residents and knows every resident by name. There are many diverse activities for the residents to partake of —short story discussions, water aerobics, free movies 6 days a week, just to name a few. Every resident has an assigned parking spot in the heated underground garage—that’s a huge plus! Residents welcome the new residents moving in, which makes the transition easier. The lounges on each floor are beautifully decorated and all have a free coffee machine at all times during the day/ night. Having looked at a number of other facilities, Mason Pointe rose to the top as the place I knew I wanted to be.

I’m content to be here because I’m happy to be moved and settled while my husband and I were both able to manage the move and the downsizing after 49 years. My husband misses his tools, basement and garage, however, we have a lake house he can escape to. I like the fact that Mason Pointe is convenient to the neighborhood we moved from. I like the amenities and the apartment arrangement that we picked out. I like the organized fitness activities although I haven’t been able to do them faithfully for the past 4 months due to sciatica pain. My husband uses the equipment in the exercise room from time to time. I would probably sign up for more activities, however, it always seems we have a scheduling conflict. It’s nice to not have to cook all the time while taking advantage of the restaurants here. We’ve enjoyed meeting other residents. Destiny at the concierge desk is always very cheerful and helpful. We appreciated the move in specialist and all of her help both before and during the move.

We've told a lot of friends about Mason Pointe and how it is like a nice resort or a cruise ship that never docks. The thing that makes it so wonderful is the staff. They are so supportive of the residents and one another. It's a true team - not one person saying do this or do that but everyone helps each other out to get the job done. The people are real - we've yet to meet any pretenders and that is very important to us. The food is wonderful and there is so much to do. There are two restaurants and a pub area with a full service bar and game room. We have Taco Tuesdays, Friday ice cream socials, movies every afternoon and trips to the winery just to name a few. You can stay busy all day every day if you so choose or you can stay home and do nothing. There is a wonderful fitness center and pool available with many fitness classes from which to choose. It's comforting to know that as our health declines we can move from Mason Pointe independent living to assisted living to long term care and never have to leave the campus. Each floor of the facility has a common area for meeting, greeting, reading and social interaction with other residents and staff including an all day coffee bar. Come join us!
