Absolute horrible! unfriendly, cold, and rigid staff .it may be important for person's there to remember that addicts are not bed people trying to get well, but are sick person's trying to get well! It was a really scary experience, and had I not had it in me to mucel up the that will to keep pushing forward, it very well could have been my demise. I think staff underestimates the power of a smile, or that small hi. So many of us are in pain, for what ever reason. I was already feeling incredibly depressed. And day in and day out of going to meadow edge, trying to hold on to dear life, and not once have a staff say hi, the Dr. , along with other substance abuse councillors, Who taught few classes there, not once introduced self, or remotely spoke to me but all clearly held an opinion of my character often I felt negative. All staff there gave me a yucky feeling which only fueled my want to escape in a drug. It's a bit scary that such unprofessionalisum exists, which I'm quite sure is strongly correlated with success of clients, even life and death. I realized quickly this was not a program for me, I left and enter into a different program.and am so happy to say with positive support and hard work, I have been clean, and happy. I truly don't like saying negative things about this place. But it was just that bad of an experience I felt it important to point this out . I can also say while there, few others felt same negative ora. I really hope staff considerations . Smile it's far more healing than a face of disapproval, even discuss. Yucky!
