Before I left Iowa city university to come here I had a breakdown and very important conversations about my concerns with them having my meds, specifically my anxiety, depression, and my sleepaid. I talked with the psychiatrist, patient advocate and the lady who set up the transfer. All 3 guaranteed me there would be "no problem since they're part of the university hospital". Well 5pm rolls around the university gives me my anxiety but said my pain meds will be administered at rehab since they're not due til later. Finally get to rehab about 7:15pm. NO meds are setup to come through, didn't get my nighttime meds until midnight, they refuse to give me my anxiety or sleep medicine. Didn't even check my blood sugar until 3:20am when I asked for some juice because I could feel it crashing, it was 46 when she checked it by "breaking the rules" since there was no order in to check it........ My tube feeds are suppose to be hooked up at night but she didn't hook it up until 3:30am because there were again "no orders" in to do so. Please pick any other rehab if possible!! 3:36am and all can't sleep with crashing blood sugar! WHAT A HORRID TRANSITION FROM THE HOSPITAL TO A ACUTE REHAB!

Stay away! Find some where else to go. More to come with details other then my Mother went from dismissed from here to go straight to Mercy ER in Iowa City due to lack of care and misdiagnosed

My friend was released today from Mercy Rehab. Not only did they lose important paperwork they sent her home with runny diarrhea which went all over the driver car, the driveway into her house. Why did they release her in this terrible condition. Shameful!

Absolutely wonderful place ❤ This was my 2nd stay here. This time was after Covid.. I couldn't walk was on a liquid diet from a trache . (Just a hint never try the pureed eggs) Speech therapy,(Caitlyn) physical therapy,,(Alicia,and Jenny) occupational therapy are amazing. Nice clean rooms, food is good you must try the soup!! Thank you team!!@

Spent 4 days as a inpatient. The hospital was open less than 2 weeks, my stay was nothing short of wonderful. The rehab therapist's were very skilled fun and amazing! I will miss them!. Every one was friendly and professional. Thank you for allowing me to Stay!
