95 years of Help & Hope

There is NO requirement for a resident to be a Christian when entering or graduating our 5-12 month programs, we love everyone where they are at.

We are a restorative recovery ministry providing real help and lasting hope for the entire family in a grace filled environment through Jesus Christ.

At Metro Hope for a season of their lives, thousands of men, women and children in our programs have encountered Jesus and the hope He gives.

Many of our residents are at the end of their options. Most have exhausted their support systems, lost their homes and are unable to support themselves or their families.

We are a residential, Christ-centered, drug and alcohol recovery program serving mothers and their children, women, and men in the Minneapolis area. Our programs focus on providing healing and hope for the whole family since 1926.

Fiscal year 2021,  89% of each donation went to programming, 10% went to management and 1% to fundraising.

At Metro Hope, we have set a place at the table for anyone that knocks and anyone who enters. We believe in the healing power of the Gospel. Although most of our adult residents receive some government aid for room and board, all of the Christ-centered programming is funded by private donations. We receive NO government aid for the children. All of their care is funded by private donations.

At Metro Hope we value community. Through our events and volunteer opportunities we foster a collaborative culture that benefits the families we serve. We need our community to stand with us, to be a safe place for the hurting.

With 2 residential locations in the Twin Cities our programs serve mothers and their children, women and men. Our programs range from 5-12 months in length.

Our entire mission at Metro Hope revolves around the fact that every single person matters.

My boyfriend had a terrible experience here. He said staff treated him & the other clients there like they were children. They forced a bunch of rules on him including no overnight passes the entire time he was there. He got to go on day passes but that wasn't until months later. They had awful meals which half the time he decided not to eat anyway. They are supposed to be about helping you stay sober and have a healthy lifestyle but all they did was force the bible and church on them. It was mandatory that he was supposed to go to church almost 3 days a week. My boyfriend loves the Lord very much but the way they did everything was based on too many rules. They didn't allow him to have his cellphone nor did they allow them to watch what they wanted on cable TV. These are all the reasons why he felt he was treated like a child. He was there 2 years & honestly he didn't get nothing out of it. The only benefit is he's been sober for 10 years.

Metro Hope has helped me so much. They worked with me and they care. It's not about the money with this place. They really want to help those who struggle with addiction.

Been to 7 inpatients and countless outpatient treatments. And metro hope has worked for me. Faith based Christ centered. Just graduated 4 days ago. Now I'm currently a house manager and driver here. Would totally recommend this place to anyone that is willing to take the next step forward. Being obedient to Christ and last but not least listen to staff. God created authority. All authority comes from God anyone that rebels/disobeys authority is disobeying God. It's not the program that will change you it's you allowing God to transform you while you're in the program. If you're not ready to stop doing what isn't working you won't be ready to start doing what is working. Be blessed
