I'm a graduate of Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge and I am an alcoholic. I know I had a lot of underlying issues that I needed to work on and that's exactly what I did when I entered into the long- term program. Since the program I have found myself, I have my relationship with God, and I have my family back.
After 25 years of using drugs and selling drugs and living a criminal lifestyle. I wanted to change. That's why I came to Teen Challenge. I got dropped off on July 18th 2016 at 9:30 in the morning from prison and I started my new life right then and there.
I'm a graduate of Minnesota and Teen Challenge women's program. I grew up in a small town and I started using heroin at the age of 15 or 16. When I was older, I was in an abusive relationship, using IV using meth and heroin and my life was completely messed up and unstable. After I started the short term program, I was kind of debating long-term but I was afraid of a big commitment. When I saw the women in long-term they were stable and really seemed to know exactly who they were. After about a month, I started to notice physical changes, I was becoming healthy and strong.

Asher Hardwood5 StarAlong with the help of this program and the changing power of Jesus Christ I am truly alive today. After 15 years of drug and alcohol abuse they gave me the tools I needed to break the chains of addiction that had total power over my life.

[26] And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's chains were loosed.Monday 21st May 2018
Lauren Burg5 StarWhile every program has their difficulties I highly recommend this program. After almost ending my life in 2015 I reached out for help. I ended up coming to MNTC to get my life back. I initially came in planning to do 30-90 day but after seeing the joy in the women in the long term program I knew I wanted that joy for myself. This program is hard. It is uncomfortable and sometimes overwhelming. After spending almost 8 years in active addiction I decided to surrender one year of my life and it was SO worth it. The long term program offers DBT and EMDR so not only did I learn coping skills but I also got to process trauma. I also got to meet with mental health professionals, LADCs and Chaplains. This program is hard work- if you're willing to put in the work there will be transformation. October 20th I will be celebrating my 4 years free from drugs and alcohol. Not only did I get my relationships with friends and family back but also a renewed relationship with the Lord. Shortly after graduating I started working for the program and can't imagine working anywhere else. If you are struggling please reach out to us!Friday 4th October 2019
UP NORTH NATION1 StarI volunteered for this program and was extremely disappointed. The Hudson house director allowed criminals trying to get out of prison to physically assault me. They were not punished. I was asked to leave after expressing my opinion. The pastor named terry was very racist towards me. This program is a fraud at the minneapolis campusThursday 30th May 2019
