When I went to MCDC, I was younger and it was in the other building. I hated it when I went through and I was court ordered both times I did. Now that I have overcome my addictions through Gods grace, I can see where the staff was coming from and also understand that they are human beings that grow as they help us to. I would say that for anyone that is serious about getting sober, this is a good place and willingness to do what is best for yourself rather than what you want to do is a big part of recovery. Trust the process, and know as long as your looking towards the light, which I have come to know is the Son of God, Jesus Christ, than all the hard things will be used to strengthen you and make you more resilient.

First off the web site says cell phones allowed,it's not your cell phone they allow the part they leave out is they provide the cell phone for 2, 15 min phone calls a week the appointed days depending on whose caseload and counselor you're under, statistics show contact with sober loved ones tremendously helps the fight for sobriety the misleading word arrangements on cell phones hopefully are the only deception a patient may receive , I plan to update after treatment.

This place was exactly what I needed at that point in my life. I'm clean today and have been so ever since. I see a lot of negative reviews here, but part of recovery is taking ownership over your own actions and making a decision to better your life. They can't do the hard work for you, only you can do that. Blaming others for your failures is fundamentally destructive. Anyway, it's a great place, it has a nurse that's the most beautiful person I've ever seen inside and out. Every possible way they could help they did, but in a way that would promote growth. If you want to change it'll work if you do what they say, and take it seriously. The techs were totally relatable and sympathetic. Every person from case managers to techs were awesome. The doctor was arrogant, and a total duche bag but that's a quick interaction. So go ahead and get behind yourself and push yourself there, you won't regret it. Besides you'll get to see if I'm right about the nurse. Lol

This place was awful they pretty much force you to go to sober living even if you have a place to live and a family outside waiting for you to come home
