Nassau Alternative Advocacy Program (NAAP)

Since the COVID-19 pandemic emergency began, telemedicine use has accelerated.  For Substance Abuse Treatment, these changes included immediate virtual access to our physicians for assessment and participation in the Medication-assisted Treatment (MAT) program for Substance Use Disorders.  Our medical staff are available to meet with clients for Medication Management, Monday through Saturday and see new client within 24 hours of referral.  

Nassau Alternative has also expanded its delivery of behavioral health services to a secure Telepractice platform. Group and Individual Therapy sessions are conducted throughout the day, Monday through Saturday (Sunday individual sessions by appointment). We understand there are some clinical characteristics for which in-person care, or a hybrid of in-person and telemedicine visits would be better for some of our clients.  Nassau Alternative is offering both in-person and Telepractice treatment services.  Our treatment plans are highly individualized and person-centered to meet our clients’ needs.
