I was there recently in the teenage unit and honestly I loved it. Obviously this place isn't a hotel, and its not suppose to be. Its suppose to help you become safe enough to go home. I definitely got the help I need there. Lgbtq+ friendly, The staff are amazing, making friends there was great I had a great experience. The only thing ill point out is the food. Its like basic school food. Not good but not the worst.

The Food OMG I might check myself in on purpose just for the 3 very big healthy square meals a day plus snacks at any time. And I didn't even wanna eat I was trying to lose weight but couldn't resist lol. Probably your best bet if you need to check yourself in. Not the best place if you're forced there after a mental episode cause it goes from terrifying to really awesome, It can be really unbalanced of an experience. Edit: The negative reviews are from actually clinically insane people who simply can't handle themselves or the experience so pay them no mind unless you're completely down bad and out of control.

This place is a joke for kids it’s a VACATION for kids ! They don’t respect ANYTHING that PARENTS REQUEST ! They allow kids tablets in there room till 10 pm And I done allow him to stay up till 10 PM at night he goes to school every day our bedtime here is 8 PM you also get to play video games , They have full course meals for breakfast lunch and dinner And then any dessert that You could imagine they have Kids are in there because their mental health or behavior issues not to think it’s a joke get a vacation and wanna keep going back there are some parents that cant afford a table Or don’t allow a tablet because of the behavior they go there and they get it I have asked staff Not to give my son a tablet and he is still receiving it this is suppose to be for him to work on him self Not to play games

I dont know why people complain about the food in this hospital because the food wasnt even THAT BAD and compared to the last hospital I went to, this place is a godsend. The staff here are so sweet and I love how the schedule is organized. It's a nice mental hospital and shoutout to Doctor O!! She's the best psychiatrist ive ever had.
