If you have a loved one that is struggling with addiction, New Beginnings might be a good place for you to find help. When I was there, there was not a doctor on staff. I recommend First and foremost getting the potential client completely sober and stabilized in an hospital environment that can handle any possible emergencies, physical or psychiatric. When I was there around 10 years ago Attack Therapy was the main mode of therapy. It sounds harsh, but aims to radically change the individual by rebuilding them from the ground up. The goal is to Destroy and then rebuild the client’s self esteem based on new beliefs and morals by listening to the perception of others. Attack Therapy is often used with those who suffer from addiction. Being that the ridicule can be performed in a group setting the interaction is often humiliating because they are questioned about their own behaviors in an honest manner. An unhealthy ego needs to be eliminated. Once it has been broken down the person can be re-educated in terms of thought patterns. The group and the group leader will both shape an idea and form a new identity. The client will be placed in group setting. By first acknowledging the problem which often varies, the patient is going to be questioned in a way that attacks their current behavior and state of mind. The process can be brought on by other individuals who are questioning the behavior of the client and why they act the way that they do. As a reality check the client often breaks down from this confrontation. They soon understand that the behavior they are portraying is detrimental in more ways than one. The attempt is to eliminate the current ego and build a new way of thinking that compliments their wants, needs and relationships. The purpose of the therapy isn't to attack the patient out of distain but do so to increase awareness and understand how their behavior is affecting everything else. This approach is often used throughout addiction cases because those who suffer from drug addictions often have a difficult time coming out of their own delusion. The drug user may not see their addiction as a problem although it's hurting everyone around them. (Under no circumstances should Attack Therapy be used on clients who have suffered from conditions such as PTSD, Schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.) Attack Therapy uses confrontation to tear down a delusional ego and create a person who can see the situation from more than one point of view. When they understand that the behavior is unsatisfactory they will then understand where the attack is stemming from. They may be disrespectful toward other people and in turn the group members might attack the client in the same manner. Psychology using this approach can work, but please do not put A mentally unstable patient in a situation like this. If the patient is stable as not suffering from any other co-morbid illnesses then New Beginnings may be a wonderful solution. New Beginnings will also having you soul searching, and this is in a strictly Judeo-Christian sense. Because we all interpret the Bible differently, your loved one will possibly hear many interpretations on the Bible and the theology that goes with it. Unfortunately the less literate you are biblically the easier it will be for you to become misled. (Example: I was told I wasn’t saved because I took medicine), but in return I made amazing friends. I do feel as though New Beginnings is anointed. I do feel like they genuinely care, Especially certain teachers that is why they are going to push you. So you can get better. Suffering, death, and ruined their lives the byproduct of drugs alcohol . You don’t need an expensive place to get excellent results. New Beginnings is reasonably priced, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself Later “working for the Kingdom” for pitiful wages. When you tell someone who is broken they are loved, needed, and valuable to the ministry. They will work for free. And that fact is known.
