Nextep is about recovery from the disease of addiction. We are an outpatient substance abuse provider and a six-month supportive living environment designed to bridge the gap from early recovery to independent living. We have 12 locations all conveniently located by local bus routes and 12-step meetings. Our program is based on 12-step principles and guidelines and supervised by professional staff and peers. We serve 63 men and 35 women.
Our goal is to teach and empower the recovering individual to internalize healthy living skills that can be utilized over the course of a lifetime. For individuals trapped in a world of substance abuse, life can seem desperate. At Nextep, we believe chances for long-term recovery increase dramatically with support from professionals and peers in an established community. At Nextep, we provide a fostering, compassionate environment where long-term healing is the primary focus.

becky florida5 StarI really like being here, being here has helped me to start feeling better. The medications I'm taking are working well, the housing has been fine. The group sessions have been really good, my therapy is helping and I gain something from all of my sessions, its helping me to see things in a better perspective and giving me new ways to look at myself. Thomas L5 StarNextep has been helping me learn how to deal with my addiction, it gives me a place to talk about my problems and reasons I've used in the past. It gives me a safe place to live and learn how to live a clean life, with structure and a schedule. Its helping me talk about emotions and feelings that I normally bottled up. The staff has been 100% understanding and is knowledgeable about the disease of addiction. I get a sense of comfort from being here. If I have problems I always have someone to bring them to. Treatment has been good, the groups are really helpful, they teach me about addiction and how to live my life as an addict. The individual sessions have been very helpful in teaching me how to deal with the chaos in my mind. Dr Finley is very understanding, I have no problem telling her and my counselors about my physical and emotional problems. I am more confident I can live a life in sobriety once I leave here.Wednesday 16th March 2022
Tom T5 StarBeing here has helped me get back on track and get back into my recovery after a lengthy relapse. It got me back into AA and I needed that. I had 29 years sober at one point. The groups have been good and have helped me a lot. My individual sessions have been good, I had a good treatment plan and I'm working on that. They have been teaching me some good life skills and coping skills to stay clean. They provide transportation to groups and meetings which is amazing to me.
