I was lucky enough to attend NFA Canterbury in August if 2020 as a client.’it was my first time in treatment. I didn’t know what to expect however my experience was life altering. 1. Facility - the facility is just what I needed in the early stages of my treatment. A small space for group settings (hex), therapy sessions with open grounds for physical activity. My only complaint would be the rooms and beds but looking back that is all I needed. A place to lay my head and I was blessed to have a roof over my head at that stage of my treatment so some my complain but in hindsight sight it was a bed and a room. 2 Food - was unbelievably good. The kitchen staff did such an amazing job to assure we are well. The ED at NFA focused on healthy food options for us so the meal choices were abundant and healthy and we were blessed with the food. Only complaint was we had no snacks in between meals but in hind sight it’s ok because it helped me lose 10 pounds in early recovery. 3 - staff - the therapists and majority staff saved my life. I will forever be eternally grateful for the staff at NFA. Like anywhere there were 1-2 on staff that robbed an experience for some however that is anywhere in life and can happen at a local coffee drive through so it can happen here. The staff was amazing and loved what they did. It does seem like a high turn over job. Not specific to the facility as the ED was very well liked by his staff but more of an industry wide job issue. Every chance I get if I know someone at that point in their life where they need recovery treatment center in their life I would ever have not suggest NFA

The staff is great and more than understanding,I was only there for a week but it gave me some much needed insight into my issues.my only regret is I wasn't able to finish my stay.and a big ty to JESSE.btw, I had that uncomfortable conversation and it went very well your kindness will not be forgotten,I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking help,do the work get the reward 🙂

This is one of the best programs ive ever been too the staff here are amazing and very helpful I’ve learned so much about my mental health and addiction highly recommend this to anyone with an addiction to come to this program it definitely saved my life and someday I hope to work in this field so I can help others too this program breaks things down for anyone to understand thank you all so much I wish I never have to leave but you guys have taught me how to move on with my life and become the man I need to be thank you again so much for everything the staff has done for me!
