She was apprehensive about going because she was afraid she wasn't going to make any friends, but let me tell you, the Recreations/Activities Department this past month has really stepped it up. After a bit of encouraging, I was able to get my grandmother to go to an activity, and let me tell you—it's now an everyday thing!! She looks forward to going to the events that Oak Hill Center hosts, and honestly, it's so wonderful to see the joy in her eyes again." "The staff there was amazing. Provided comfort and care to my grandmother who unfortunately passed away in December. They treated all of us like family during a very difficult time. Between the comforting hugs and words of encouragement, not to mention the sandwiches and beverages, they tried their best to make us feel at home for the two days we all stayed while hospice was involved. My family and I will never forget any of you; keep up the good work. You can tell when an employee enjoys their job. Their hearts are in it." "My mom went there for rehab but unfortunately passed away from her cancer while there. The staff was great! My mom had her favorites but loved them all. When she was passing, they called in hospice. Our family never left for two days, and they took care of us by bringing trays of sandwiches, juices, soda and coffee. They were great! Huge thank you to Carman!"

Oak hill is a great facility! The nurses and other faculty members are very friendly and caring. I have been to many different facilities and this place really stands out in the level of care. Keep up the great work!

There are good staff at Oak Hill, however, the corporation itself does not care for it’s workers and resident’s safety. They receive 2 stars for some of the staff that go out of their way for the residents. The building overall is gross, out dated, and needs to be fixed. For example, the third floor shower room would flood the carpet in the hallway. Heating floor boards in the bedrooms are rusted and falling apart. The generator diesel oil leaked into cement and ground outside the building (company knew for months and didn’t change anything until staff were persistent with complaints about safety concerns).
