The best program of the many I have been to. Highest professional standards of any: a top quality MD is there all day but Sunday and RN is there 24/7. All sessions are directly valuable no wasted time. All staff are certified. Its real recovery not like Malibu. Very strict but honest and experienced. Best possible care for medical treatment if needed. Betty Ford might be better otherwise this is it. You deserve it.

Aside from the beds being a little uncomfortable, this is an amazing place for you to get clean. They take very good care of you, food is do you wish us and they give you plenty of it, the nurses are available 24 seven. And they don't just discharge you without making sure you have a plan set up for your long-term recovery.

Excellent care, nurses and Dr's. They built in stress reducing activities to help you such as, yoga, massage, acupuncture, ping pong. I even tried a Zumba class! There were panels brought in and a lot of small group education sessions. They bring you to AA meetings in the hospital, at least once a day. I felt very safe and I enjoyed the food too! They signed me up for an evening outpatient class at the hospital that I attended the day after I got out. I was in that program for about 2 1/2 months. I can't say enough nice things about Pacific Recovery! This was 18 months ago and I see the same nurses at the meetings at the hospital.

So, I waited a year to write my review, because with addiction, you never know how the rehab worked until you've been sober for a while and know that you have "got it." So, I went there as a result of a soft intervention by a dear friend of mine who saw that I was severely hooked on anti-anxiety meds and pain killers. I was full of doubt and scared, but the program takes that into consideration. Detox. Detox was comfortable and painless. They managed my withdrawal symptoms very well and other than some stomach issues, sleep problems and some discomfort (mild), they helped me handle the situation. Rehab: If you dont' know, chemical dependency and addiction are two different things. Rehab is about training and how to deal with addiction and addictive personalities. In that regard as well, they were well equipped. They trained me on tools to use to reduce my stress level. Yoga is one of the best things I learned there, and I would recomment anyone to enjoy Yoga while in Rehab. Also, I learned about how addictive drugs (including alcohol) work. Relapse triggers, behavior and other tools were also taught to me. Staff: The staff is understanding, yet firm. They follow a rigid set of rules and that is ok because if you an addict you know, you can be very manipulative. They know all the tricks in the book and you can't get away with anything. But, at the same time, they are kind and understanding. Medical Care: Dr. Headrick is one of the best. Medical care was excellent. Accommodations: They can improve the beds a bit. They are typical hospital beds and comfort is not their primary concern. Also, sometimes showers take a while to get warm. Advice: In any rehab, you will need to understand that you need to change your way of thinking. Rehab can't be done halfassed. As one of my recovering addict friends say, if there's a problem, there's a problem. Address it. Give yourself to the program whole heartedly. Don't use logic. Logic is what got you here. Follow the path they lay out for you. Others have done it and have been successful. You can do it too, but you have to be honest with yourself and give up ALL control. And be prepared to have minimal outside contact. Have friends take over your work load. God bless you and good luck. You are all in my prayers. Love, B

This facility is poorly run. As it stands against other facilities in the area, it is fair. The problem is that they bring in doctors and psychiatrists under the chief doctor that run the day to day operations. They do not use common sense when prescribing volitile medications, and allow patients that are highly medicated, to walk out "AMA" out of the facility. This is wreckless behavior and poor supervision.
