Therapy department is absolutely REMARKABLE here at Park Meadows. Director, Paula, and everyone on her team provide the best PT & OT experience I've ever had (and I've had a lot to compare them to). Patrick and Michael both make it priority to connect with their patients - they listen to concerns and take the time to collaborate and work out the best way to help. I've had great success thanks to them! Eric and Vonn have the same caring and attentive process. All of the team pitch in and provide patient care that is above and beyond the norm. The rehab I've received here has made ALL the difference in how I'm able to manage my infirmity and re-energize my life. All other Park Meadows critique aside, this THERAPY TEAM DESERVES MORE THAN JUST 5 STARS.

All in all it was a good place to work, I enjoyed caring for my patients, I even made some new friends there, BUT as the last lady mentioned, the administration wouldn’t not honor my schedule arrangement that the previous scheduler and HR person arranged for me, even though we had it in writing and it was agreed by all parties, but because of staffing issues my arrangements would not be honored and was told that It would be fought, after I told them I could not work there schedule, so I put in my 2 weeks notice and because they was so spiteful, I was shown the door. This place is poorly ran rules change everyday AND as long as you’re good with the higher ups you can get away with anything, but that’s another story for another day. But I’m not gonna cry over spilled milk it is what it is.

Corporate needs to investigate administration ASAP. From falsifying employee records to discrepancies in pay. The short staffing is not because people do not want to work, the staffing issues are the result of tyrannical leadership, unethical behavior and low care standards. How can you offer bonuses to your employees as an incentive to pick up and then refuse to pay saying they were unauthorized? How do you not honor PTO or schedule adjustments done with the previous staffing coordinator and give unfair disciplinary action to your staff? Park Meadows is not a bad place to work, some of my coworkers were great. But the staff deserves better from management. Staffing will always be a problem when management does not know how to treat staff. Unfortunately, until staffing gets better - those residents will continue to suffer.

MAJOR staffing issues and problems left unaddressed. Here's what happens: staff either call out or just don't show up. That's bad enough BUT there is NO recrimination at all. It is tolerated since "we can't fire them because we need them". WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT STATEMENT?! Yes, we need them - to SHOW UP! By allowing staff to show up, or not, this is effectively rewarding them while PUNISHING the reliable, dedicated, caring staff! The result of that is a direct impact on patients. Those upstanding, dedicated staff are left picking up far more work than they can manage. It's no surprise that they are upset! Being over-worked and knowing that management does NOT have their back and that this will continue translates to short, sometimes rude, interaction with patients. Being one of those patients I can assure you that this is EXACTLY what is happening. Care is not what it needs to be, what it SHOULD be, what we all deserve. This facility cannot attract and retain GOOD staff because of the burden placed on them by tolerance of POOR staff. This is absolutely the #1 problem. And because of the staffing problem, so many things are left unaddressed. I've not been able to get results of blood tests tho I continue to experience symptoms! (For almost 2 weeks now.) We've reported having COCKROACHES IN OUR ROOMS and, like other problems, that is "on the list" to be addressed. Excuse me??? PESTS need to be controlled and exterminated IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE! Why are cups for water not available? If you don't save your cup, you're out of luck. And dehydrated. Thank goodness I have scissors so we can make washcloths out of towels. Shall we continue to pour funds into use of agency nurses and CNAs rather than provide properly for the patients? Oh, yes, back to issue#1.... I hate that this is such a negative review. But it is truthful. And I apologize to those WONDERFUL staff who care, who show up, who continue to struggle through the culture established here. You are GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I’M SO VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY GIVEN TO ME TO WORK HERE AT PARK MEADOWS HEALTH AND REHAB. THE TEAM ACCEPTED ME IN AND HAS CONSISTENTLY MADE ME FEEL LIKE FAMILY! OUR STAFF CONTINUOUSLY EXHIBIT HARD WORK, DEDICATION AND UP TO DATE KNOWLEDGE IN A LTC SETTING. WE ARE TEAM ORIENTED AND WE CARE DEEPLY FOR OUR RESIDENTS AND THEIR HEALTH STATUS. WE ARE LISTENING TO CONCERNS AND HAVE MADE CHANGES TO CATER TO OUR RESIDENTS NEEDS. I LOVE WORKING HERE, I’M PROUD OF OUR PROGRESS! THANK YOU!
