No one wants to get to the point where a Parent or loved one can no longer take care of themselves. Unfortunately it happens and I personally experienced this Last Year. Thankfully I was able to find Parkside Center in Ellijay, Ga. My Mom absolutely loves it there and receives top notch care and attention. Her room is very spacious and the very qualified staff took the time to match her with an awesome roommate. They have become the best of friends. There are so many activities that she can participate in such as crafts, bingo and movie time. Meal time is a treat as they are offered several different options to meet their fancy. If you want the best quality care and do not wish to worry about your loved ones this is the place.

We have found the staff and accommodations at Parkside to be caring, compassionate and worry free. It was so stressful when my mom had her stroke and was hospitalized. Then came the need for a rehabilitation placement and that was becoming a nightmare at the hospital. Thank goodness for Amber, Parkside’s Admissions Angel! She called me personally at the hospital and had all of the arrangements ready for transfer. Most importantly, my mom is happy!!!

My dad was admitted to Parkside after leaving the hospital. I was was warned by several people not to send him there. I did not have a choice after leaving the hospital. I was told my mom would be able to transfer to him after being placed in Augusta. That never happened !!! The answer was the “decision team” decided not to take mom. I talked to many different administrators, social workers, advocates and even insurance companies and they said they’ve never seen where they wouldn’t put husband and wife together. My parents haven’t been apart for 60 years and it has been traumatic for them. The nurses, CNAs, and concierge at Parkside were great to my dad . The decision care team?? Whoever that is, chooses business over humanity. Needless to say, we moved my parents back to NC after being in GA 35 days !! And we moved them to begin with to be closer to family . It has been a nightmare that I hope no one else has to endure.

I’ve heard the staff at Parkside is caring and compassionate. They treat all the patients as if it’s there own mother. I would recommend it to all in need of care.
