Talk about unprofessionalism. Staff is completely unorganized and clearly do not communicate with one another. I had been waiting for my appointment for 5 months and it got canceled twice, the second time 10 minutes before my appointment was scheduled. This time around, staff proceeded to schedule my intake appointment for 20 minutes when it needs to be an hour long in order to get the medication I need. Again, couldn't get me in for ANOTHER MONTH. They claim they will call you back and absolutely will not. Waited DAYS for a call back after being told I would be contacted ASAP and I was “top priority”. Finally had to be the one to initiate contact. Do not come here. If you’re looking for help with depression, I can promise they will send you into a downward spiral on more than one occasion. Don’t waste your time.

I had video visits with Laurie Anger for about 6 months. I’ve been seeing psychiatrists for about 30+ years. She is by far the worst provider I’ve EVER had the misfortune to choose. I’m lucky to be alive - and I’m NOT exaggerating! I was near-suicidal and telling her so in messages, calling the office too until I was told to “stop bothering” them with so many messages! She had put me on the ONE medication that I should NEVER have been put on because I had been on it before and had the worst adverse reaction of my life 5 years ago. Unfortunately, I couldn’t remember the name of the medication, but I offered to get my medical records from my psychiatrist at the time. Laurie Anger said, “No.” It wasn’t necessary. Two weeks later, I asked her again, “Are you SURE you don’t want me to get my records from my psychiatrist when I had that bad reaction?” Laurie Anger repeated, “No. Not needed.” So, she changed my meds and put me on — this very medication that caused me the WORST adverse reaction I’ve ever had in my LIFE! I had suicidal thoughts and intentions and told her repeatedly that I was doing terribly and getting worse! Laurie INCREASED my dose! I myself finally figured out that it was the WRONG MEDICATION she had me on! She had me on the ONE with the severe adverse reaction 5 years ago! But she didn’t “NEED” the records from my prior psychiatrist!! I’m lucky to be alive to even TELL you to RUN FROM PINE REST TRAVERSE CITY! I don’t know if the other offices are as poorly run, but when you question them, then they FIRE YOU from their practice and they TRY to tell you that you can’t even see ANY OTHER Pine Rest provider at ANY other Pine Rest Clinic! All of these messages were done without following the standard practice of Pine Rest, I’ve been told.
