I have lived in several so called " sober living" houses throughout the country, including veterans housing. This is hands down the best. It is clean and well maintained. Management is respectful, understanding and has a sincere desire to help men in recovery. I have suggested the Brandon location to guys I have met in treatment and they were all very pleased with their decision to come here. If you are serious about your recovery and looking for a home where you are supported , encouraged and are part of a family. Look no further.

Real Recovery - Brandon offers quality buildings in a nice and safe part of Brandon. All the appliances and utilities work perfectly fine, and any and all maintenance issues -- seldom as they are -- are promptly addressed and resolved. The house managers, without being uncomfortably down your throat, do routinely administer random urine tests... But above all, Real heavily emphasizes the importance of AA/NA involvement, as it gives recovering addicts an overwhelmingly higher statistic-proven chance at MAINTAINING LONG-TERM recovery! They give you plenty of space to breathe and reconnect with normal post-treatment/rehab life back in the real world, but don't expect to just use the place as just convenient affordable housing without accountability. The house managers are very caring and passionate about recovery, and as long as you demonstrate that you take YOUR recovery seriously, your experience at RR Brandon will be great.

I have nothing but great things to say about Real Recovery. John and the staff are amazing. They're all involved and invested in the recovery of everyone living here. It's a community of people who are serious about redirecting their lives. If someone is not working a program, then he will find it difficult to hide here. There is accountability, but also compassion and fairness. If you want to succeed and have a serious foundation for your program and the chance to live happy, joyous and free, then Real Recovery is the place for you. I was actually in a different sober living and I knew that I was going to have a rough time there. I reached out to John and he had a bed ready for me immediately. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. No one can get you clean, but, like going to meetings and having a sponsor, there are things that make getting clean and staying clean easier. Real Recovery is such a place.

I’d have to say that this is a very good place to start off if you’re trying to get sober and stay sober. The key to recovery is working the steps with a sponsor and you’ll experience a freedom like never before. Real Recovery has a very good staff, holds you accountable to stick to the program and also has a very recovery based community.

This community saved my life. I was at a point where I needed support and help with regards to living life on life’s terms. Everyone here is super cool, the townhome is clean and spacious, and the house managers will go out of their way to be of service. I’m so happy this is where I ended up during a time of need!
