According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, alcohol and drug addiction is defined as recurrent substance use that causes clinically significant impairment. In other words, if you use alcohol or drugs and it’s causing problems in your personal, professional or school life, you should consider seeking treatment.

People develop substance abuse issues for a wide range of reasons, and addiction doesn’t discriminate based on gender, socioeconomic status or race. Instead, a mixture of genetic and environmental factors must be present for the illness to take hold. If you happen to possess this unfortunate combination, you shouldn’t feel guilty or think of alcohol or drug use as a moral failing.

Instead, understand that you need to take additional measures to protect yourself against triggers and stressors. If you don’t have healthy coping mechanisms in place currently, we can help you learn and develop so you understand how to take extra-special care of yourself and enjoy a happy, healthy life.

I've been to multiple rehab facilities I've the past four years of my journey to sobriety. When I finally came to recovery at the crossroads last January something finally hit home. Since then I've gotten a year thanks to their welcoming home-like atmosphere. I would highly recommend going to crossroads for treatment.

Hi my name is Ben, I recently completed and graduated from recovery at the Crossroads, where I had the most amazing experience from the moment I walked through the doors. I came to Crossroads because I had been struggling with a drug addiction problem for over 3 years. My addiction turned my life upside down and into a really dark place. By the grace of god and the help of everyone at Crossroads I was able to get back on my feet and start “living” my life again. I received unconditional love and support from the doctors and therapists who helped me work on myself, mentally, physically and emotionally. Most of all they helped me recover from my addiction. I am forever grateful. Ben

I owe a deep sense of gratitude to this wonderful organization in helping me in my recovery After 20 years of repeated drug abuse I arrived at crossroads where my only emotion was hopelessness. I was broke and spiritually, emotionally and physically Beginning with my warm intake conversation with Crystal, through my insightful conversations with Dr. Alberta, to my therapist Yackov who literally changed my way of thinking from negativity to positivity,Who taught me how to channel my emotions,And most importantly let me to the path of self discovery , to Lori and Cindy Who lead intense group therapy on the daily and taught me a great deal To David The operations manager who only showed me goodness and kindness in being attentive to my needs Every day in every way This is a class A organization , If you are considering surrender and a drug-free life style ,please I urge you to follow the recovery at Cross Roads because they will show you a better way to live And a very comprehensive understanding of the person you really are May the entire staff there continue their wonderful work and continue saving lives in good health and serenity Thank you Michael

I had the opportunity to be an intern at Recovery at the Crossroads during grad school; Deena and Shalom were supportive of me and were a huge impact on my success. Crossroads provided me with an excellent learning experience regarding substance abuse counseling, whether it be one on one or in a group setting. The recovery staff provides clients with an abundance of recovery tools: Coping skills, relapse prevention, future planning, and education on substances to name a few.
