My mother always told me that if I don't have anything nice to say about someone or something then I shouldn't say anything at all. Sorry mother, but I must say this. Someone on Recovery Works end wrote down an incorrect health insurance medical identification number. ON THEIR END. They pretended to care about us until they stopped pretending. If someone from Recovery Works had did their job by double checking behind themselves to make sure that they had written down the correct medical identification number, instead of assuming that we were somehow disqualified from having insurance for some reason, or that we must have done something wrong to not have health insurance, we would not have had to wait so long for help. Our delay in getting assistance was caused by someone on their end writing the wrong number down, and then they were too arrogant to assume that they could have done so. They didn't even have the decency to call us to let us know that the reason they decided to stop calling to check on us was because our insurance continued to be listed as "Inactive", which I knew couldn't have been true because Anthem had already confirmed that our insurance was active the entire time. Now I don't know what to think of Recovery Works. You hear so many negative things about these rehabilitation centers. You hear they are incompetent or extremely arrogant. You hear they are racist. And the most common thing you hear is "They really don't give a damn!" Which one is it? None of them are good. I'm out of it. I tried to assist someone who is in pretty bad shape, and I couldn't believe someone could drop the ball on us like that and didn't even check to make sure that someone from Recovery Works could have written down the wrong number. If Recovery Works had taken a few minutes to call the number they gave us to call, to find out about the insurance situation, my friend would have been on his way to getting help by now. We've had insurance the entire time. I repeated that number to the Recovery Works person twice. I had her read it back to me. This is the reason why I have no faith in these people. I'm not the person who is sick, so I hope they don't retaliate against him because of someone else's (Mine) comment. I'm writing this to alert others to the possibility that this could happen to them too. With any of these drug and alcohol programs. Recovery Works cannot be the only Recovery center that has done this.
