Offering professional and compassionate addiction and mental health treatment, Rural Women’s Recovery Program (RWRP) is nestled on forty acres in the rolling foothills of southeastern Ohio.

Gender Specific Treatment

Rural Women’s Recovery Program follows a gender specific treatment model, meaning that we take many aspects of a women’s life into consideration when creating an individualized treatment plan.  Gender specific treatment focuses not only on alcohol and other drugs of abuse, but it also encourages women to examine the root causes of their use.  Our program provides educational groups that focus on the biological, psychological, social and spiritual factors of addiction. 

Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders

Our program provides substance abuse as well as mental health counseling to help women develop hope, knowledge and the skills they need to manage their problems and to pursue meaningful life goals.  Women who have co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues can recover and lead healthy lives.

Highly Qualified Staff

Rural Women’s Recovery Program employees are highly trained professional staff who care deeply about helping women heal from the disease of addiction.  Our program employs independently licensed clinical staff, a skilled medical team as well as caring support staff.  Our staff receives addiction and mental health training on a yearly basis so to remain abreast of current theories and treatments for the disease of addiction.   

Holistic Approach

Research has shown that addiction is not an “island”, meaning that most often it does not occur in isolation from other life challenges nor does it stand alone.  Our program uses research based group and individual therapeutic techniques that provide a supportive environment for women to examine all aspects of their lives.  A holistic approach takes into consideration issues specifically affecting women’s lives through a mind, body and spirit approach.  

Individualized Treatment Plans

The clinical staff closely examines each woman’s history on a case by case basis to create an individualized treatment plan designed to specifically address the needs of that woman.  Individualized treatment plans allow a clinician to focus on issues relating to that women’s life experiences and use history, instead of following a generic treatment outline.  Clinicians will work with women over the duration of their treatment stay to ensure that their treatment plan is working for them.

I need residential treatment, what do I need to do get into your program?

You can contact our Intake Case Manager at (866) 594-6510 to discuss admissions.  She will walk you through the steps and give you the information you need to prepare for your treatment stay. 

How long is your program?

At Rural Women’s Recovery Program, we understand that individual women need individualized treatment so treatment stays vary depending on the severity of your use as well as other factors that may be pertinent to your recovery. Our program is currently structured for a stay of 60 days, though stays can be extended should our clinical team determine that you would benefit from additional treatment.

What forms of payment do you accept?

At Rural Women’s Recovery Program we recognize that financing your treatment stay can be difficult.  Our program accepts most funding sources including: Medicaid, HMO’s (Care Source, Molina and Unison) and private insurance to help you receive professional treatment services. 

What can I expect from my treatment stay?

Treatment at Rural Women’s Recovery Program focuses on assisting you with the healing process.  You can expect friendly, compassionate care from our highly trained clinical and nursing staff.   Our program encourages you to share with others in group and individual sessions so you can begin to understand the disease of addiction and how it has impacted your life.

Do you follow a 12-Step Program philosophy?

Rural Women’s Recovery Program follows many of the concepts of 12-Step Programs for women.  You will participate in several weekly 12-Step Meetings in and outside of the facility.  These meeting will give you the opportunity to make life saving connections with other members of the 12-Step community and share your story with others. 

Can I bring my child?

Staff at Rural Women’s Recovery Program understand the importance of healing within the family unit and the need for women to learn valuable parenting skills.  Our facility encourages women to bring their children ages 5 and under to treatment.  Please contact our Intake Case Manager to discuss your options.
