Intensive Outpatient Treatment in Roseburg

Serenity Lane’s Intensive Outpatient Treatment (Level II) track in Roseburg is a ten-week program consisting of group therapy, individual counseling and education about the disease of addiction and substance use disorders. Treatment groups meet three times a week for three hours. We offer  morning and evening groups to accommodate your work schedule.  The family support groups meet weekly for three hours.

Level I outpatient is then available on a weekly basis for 12 to 24 months after completion of level II Intensive Outpatient treatment. Patients (and their spouse/ significant other) meet for a 1-1/2 hour weekly session to learn to identify and manage stressful life events and to cope with the inevitable ups and downs of early recovery.

Outpatient treatment is effective, confidential and affordable.

Initial Intake Interview:

You meet with an admissions counselor to discuss your personal history and to determine an appropriate level of care. This is a 1 to 1 1/2 hour appointment.

Orientation:

You meet with your counselor for an orientation to outpatient treatment. At this time the program is explained, you receive a packet of materials, and complete all necessary paperwork. This is a 2 hour appointment.

An important part of recovery from addiction and codependency is “12-step program” involvement. Patients are encouraged to attend two A.A. or N.A. meetings per week. Family members are encouraged to attend Al-Anon or Nar-Anon.

Family & Friends Involvement:

Your spouse/significant other is encouraged to attend a weekly, family education group. Serenity Lane offers a comprehensive family program. For additional information speak with your counselor.

Financial Arrangements:

Our Program Manager will discuss costs of treatment and insurance coverage with you. Serenity Lane offers a variety of programs, depending on your specific needs. . At Serenity Lane we offer programs at a reduced rate, depending on your financial situation. Payment plans are available.

Gender-Specific Groups:

This program offers patients the option of participating in a gender-specific group. Gender-specific groups provide an environment in which patients can express issues and concerns they may choose not to express in a mixed group.

Phase 1: Intensive 10-Week Program

Education:

Most group sessions begin with an educational program, generally a presentation or film. There will be a short break after the presentation.

Group Work:

The remainder of the treatment session consists of working on recovery issues in small groups. Topics in group include: acceptance of self as alcoholic/addict, your recovery plan, relapse prevention, adjustment to a sober lifestyle, and other individual issues.

First Step:

Approximately mid-treatment, patients will present an autobiography of how alcoholism/other drug addiction has affected their lives. This is one of the most important segments of the treatment process.

Individual Sessions:

As treatment progresses, some concerns may surface that are best dealt with privately. Issues such as guidance in doing a first step, developing a recovery plan, problems interfering with treatment, and other personal issues can be discussed with your counselor in an individual session. Patients are encouraged to make an appointment to see their counselor as needed.

Drug Testing:

During treatment you may be asked to submit a urine sample for drug/alcohol testing. This is one way we monitor your progress in treatment and ensure a safe, alcohol/drug free environment for recovery. This is NOT included in the cost of treatment. However, your insurance may cover a percentage of the charge.

Planning to Transfer to Recovery Support:

Toward the end of the intensive phase of treatment you meet with your counselor to sign-up for Recovery Support, review your treatment goals, recovery plan, and deal with questions or concerns you may have. At this time, referrals may be made for ongoing community services, such as individual or marriage counseling.

Commencement:

Serenity Lane Commencement medallions are awarded to those who successfully complete their outpatient program.

Phase 2: level I outpatient programming

Level I outpatient programming is the second phase of treatment. It is a weekly 1 1/2 hour support group designed for you to learn to cope with the ups and downs of early recovery.

Beyond grateful for the services I received while in my diversion classes. There is a ton of open and honest people in the classes that push no judgement on you when your speaking about the experiences you have had. And to Todd B i can’t thank you enough for the knowledge and atmosphere you created for all of us. I’m thankful to have met you although it was under the circumstances of getting a DUI. Your wise words and dedication to helping others will be a constant reminder to work on myself and continue to be better.

The counselors are awesome but unfortunately the front receptionist is a very rude person and should be replaced. I got a ride to take a UA that my counselor asked me to do just to get turned away and lied to that apparently nobody was there when I saw the other Counselor walked by.
