Treatment is also available for expecting mothers. Suboxone is the brand name for a prescription medication used in treating those addicted to opioids, illegal or prescription. It contains the ingredients buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine, a partial opioid agonist, blocks the opiate receptors and reduces a person’s urges. The second ingredient, naloxone, helps reverse the effects of opioids. Vivitrol is a brand name formulation for naltrexone. It can be used to help people maintain abstinence while recovering from an opioid or alcohol dependence. Other formulations of naltrexone are available in oral tablet form, but Vivitrol is administered as an intramuscular solution once per month. Individual counseling is a one-on-one counseling between a client and a trained therapist, in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. The client expresses whatever comes in his mind. The therapist here knows how to take out more of information from the client by making him comfortable enough to express his thoughts.
