Shorehaven's staff has accomplished an amazing and successful shift to tele-health and tele-therapy.  While we have a small number of therapists working from our offices using care for social distancing, hand-washing, and disinfecting, and we have a small number working carefully in client homes, the majority of our psychotherapy and family therapy work since March 15 has been by video conferences or telephone.

During this coronavirus pandemic, the need for help with mental health challenges has increased. We are excited to continue to provide high quality mental health service to our community.  An advantage to telehealth is that we can help people all over Wisconsin and we now offer an increased number of hours of therapy.

We welcome you to call us at (414) 540-2170, or click BECOME A CLIENT to find more information about getting help at Shorehaven and our policies on managing during the COVID-19 crisis.

Your doctors, therapists, and other medical professionals want you to get the most from your video conference. Preparing for the conference will help make your psychotherapy more effective.

I love certain things about Shorehaven and really dislike others. The AODA groups are great, you are given many chances. Most of the therapists are pretty great too with keeping your info confidential, but not a few of them like Rosie and Jessica. The receptionists are all great too. Do not see Dr. Bleak (pronounced Blake). I met her 1 time and every month after that my appointment was over a computer monitor like Skype and she didn't really pay good attention to me, she always seemed preoccupied and prescribed me weird bi-polar and anti-depressant and anti-anxiety combos. I saw her for 1 and 1/2 years and was prescribed Suboxone. She would not prescribe benzodiazpines to her Suboxone patients and I have severe anxiety. I only had one dirty UA in all that time for clonazepam. My therapist Katie was great, the best I have ever had, but she had to leave for personal reasons and I was assigned a new therapist. I wasn't sure about her and she came off a little cold and prissy. But I was honest that I had been occasionally drinking a pint of whiskey every other week or having only 3 beers, but had been sober for the past month. I also admitted to an occasional 0.5mg clonazepam when my anxiety was uncontrollable. She reported to my psychiatrist that I was still drinking and the Dr. decided I was "using". I was prescribed two 8mg Suboxone strips a day for this whole time and she cut me off with 10 strips over a 12 day time period. She also took me off my Adderrall cold turkey without warning before she went on vacation and right before my script was due for refill because she said it was a "stimulant". I have ADD, and you are prescribing me an addictive amphetamine and decides it's a stimulant and it shouldn't be prescribed to me. Cold B*tch. Now I'm going through withdrawl from Suboxone and Adderall, which can be lethal btw, and sucks ass. Thank you very much Dr. Bleak. Love you too!!
