This was my first time going through drug detox for benzo-use. I had an awful experience. This being new to me, I didn't know what I didn't know, what to ask, terminology for treatments, meditation "protocols". Virtually no follow up by my counselor while there for 6 days. I learned a day before being discharged that SCRC has a very poor plan for benzo-detox unlike other facilities. I would not recommend this facility at all for people needing a benzo-detox. I would ask for basic items, toothpaste toothbrush etc and an RN ACTUALLY rolled her eyes as if I was bothering her, REALLY?!! How insulting and RUDE. POOR RATING! the food was mushy and disgusting also!

They were amazing, staff was very friendly and helpful. My detox experience was as comfortable as possible, and they were extremely accommodating. Food is even really good. I would recommend it to anyone.

I will be forever grateful for the staff and care that i received while at SCRC. I wasn't the easiest to deal with during the first two or three days i was there during my detox and i was met with nothing but open arms and endless compassion for the pain i was going through. My nurse Shy was the most positive person that i have ever met, she definitely deserves 5 stars as a nurse, in fact i wish i could give her 10 stars, she keeps it real and shows love for all of her patients. All of the other nurses and techs were also so helpful, i am so thankful for SCRC for saving my life, giving me a warm bed and a hot meal during some of the darkest days of my life. With relapse comes so much guilt and forgotten responsibility's that need to be taken care of and my counsellors always came running to answer my questions and support me when i was feeling my lowest, they also made sure that i made it door to door to my next program and started me on methadone maintenance with ease which was a giant weight off of my shoulders. The assistive director Lauren was also extremely helpful when i needed her. This is a place that treats you as a person and not a number, they remember your name and will help you if you want the help, but YOU have to want it. ALSO!! YOU CAN SMOKE HERE, which i was so grateful for. They feed you extremely well with lots of snacks and hot meals, they even served steak one night, now we all know that no other detox takes it to that level. No where is going to be perfect and everyone is going to have there own opinions on which program is best, but this place is on the top of the food chain and trust me, i have been to other programs that are put to shame with the level of care i was given at SCRC. You will not regret coming here. Thank you to all of those that helped to save my life, i will be forever grateful and i am so thankful for my sobriety that SCRC helped my achieve. I have a LONG way to go, but i am so thankful for the start that SCRC helped me achieve.I lost everything this time around and i now have hope for my future, something that i lost while in active addiction. I would recommend this place to anyone that is ready to get off of the streets, drugs and alcohol and get on with their lives and sobriety. One day at a time. MAKE THAT PHONE CALL AND GET THE HELP THAT YOU NEED. God bless.

I have had a good experience at SCRC. All the people are nice & helpful. Some of the policies are a bit much, but anywhere you go it may be the same or worse. You have to want to get better. If you want recovery for yourself, then I'd recommend using all of SCRC's services. I feel a lot better about myself. Have a great day!

Loved the detox...the methadone maintenance side was the bomb before Ben took it over & only got worse when Dr. BRUCE left. My old counselors were cool but new ones just sit & wait for u to tell them what they want to hear. Would never go back for maintenance EVER unless Dr. BRUCE OR MART RETURN.
