About Southern Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Center in Charlestown, IN

Southern Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Charlestown, Indiana, provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with opioid use disorder, the clinical term for opioid addiction.

Years of research has shown that MAT promotes better recovery outcomes for people who are suffering from addictions to morphine, prescription painkillers, heroin, and other opioids. Although most methadone clinics are associated with just one type of medication, Southern Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Center offers multiple options to our patients, including methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, and Suboxone.

Medications such as methadone can ease distressing opioid cravings and the painful symptoms associated with opioid withdrawal. We understand that every patient responds to these medications differently, so the doctors and nurses at our Charlestown clinic ensure that each person receives the medication and dosage that’s best for their needs.

Therapies Used at Our Charlestown Methadone Clinic

It’s important to understand that there’s more to opioid addiction treatment at a methadone clinic than just taking medication. People come to our Charlestown clinic to take part in individual and group therapies in addition to receiving a medication such as methadone because this approach addresses more than just the physical aspects of opioid addiction.

Counseling is a foundational component of the recovery process at Southern Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Center, allowing our patients to gain an understanding of the experiences and emotions that might have led them to start abusing opioids. The work our patients do in counseling helps them process any trauma, memories, or emotions that may be influencing their relationship with opioids. They can also develop coping skills that may keep them from relapsing in the future.

Every person walks their own path to recovery, which is why the multidisciplinary team at our Charlestown clinic tailors every person’s opioid addiction treatment to reflect their unique situation. The plan of care we create for you will include the therapeutic interventions and medications that are most beneficial to your needs and recovery goals.

What to Expect at Southern Indiana CTC

Taking your first step into a methadone clinic to start your recovery journey can be intimidating, but the caring and compassionate team at our Charlestown clinic will ease any concerns you might have about starting opioid addiction treatment.

We empower all our patients to take an active role in their recovery, and that starts with the intake process. You’ll discuss your medical history, the nature and severity of your symptoms, and your recovery goals with a member of our team so that we can create a customized plan of care for you. This treatment plan will serve as the foundation for your recovery process during your time with us.

Opioid addiction can make you feel hopeless, but we are here to show you that there is hope for your future. With the support and guidance of our expert team, you can achieve successful long-term recovery.

Try the one in Louisville if you want a more personal feel and MUCH faster, shorter lines. This one feels like it is corporation-driven and they refuse to spend all the money (they obviously have) on improving things. The saddest thing: improvements like what I detailed happen all over the country. A new provider or director comes in and suddenly there are 10 extra dosing windows and an equal amount of new nurses. Look at New Season Treatment in Cantonment, Fl for a great success story. Thanks for reading.

Very Very,sad.. My outlook for this place has been shattered this past week.. don't know honestly what to think 🤔 about the same place & people who I really thought 💭 cared about my recovery for a while now!!!! It makes me feel so very sad... And, even worse- now I know you can't go back to that once it's done changed... Idk, even counselor's are scarce now, huh, wonder why?!?!.

All they care about is your money. My son has been going here for years. They switch you from one addiction to their addiction and string you along for monetary reasons as long as possible. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Lines so long, that it takes close to 45 mins, at least, a day, just to get medicated. Counselors come and go, so every 3 months or so, your starting all over again, with someone you have to get to know. Days like today, memorial day, the line is wrapped around the whole outside of the building!! Its all about $$$
