Southwest counseling saved my life. This is a pretty amazing place but it's also really big. It's ran like a corporation and if you aren't careful you will get lost in the shuffle. But if you're able to find where you fit in you can get some amazing help with these people. Just be patient because they are trying to help a lot a lot of people and sadly when you try to help as many people as they do you could fall through the cracks.

Horrible service. The counselors just sit there and stare at you the entire time. The people who run the groups will make you restart your group from the beginning if you miss more than one even if you’re quarantined and legally can’t go. I’d recommend going to ABC or literally anywhere else. These guys have never met my needs.

I think these guys are the absolute worst. If you can use one of the other counseling places in town I would suggest you do that. They called me and never left a message. I screen my calls so I rely on voicemails. Since i didn't answer they ended up closing my case. They left me high and dry without my bipolar medication. Then when I called to get a refill they informed me, very rudely might I add, that there was nothing they could do since I never got back to them. The Dr told me he didn't want to see me until i needed more medication which I called them when I needed more. I specifically asked them to leave me messages. When I pointed out that the medication that I was on if I didn't slowly come down off of it, it could have some extremely bad side effects. The lady on the phone told me it wasn't her problem and if it was so bad I could just go to the ER. These guys are the worst of the worst.

Caseworkers that take a week to call you back. Residential house staff that could give penny about their jobs. Supervisors that had no answers. This is what SWC is all about. No communication. No assistance and to top it all off...their mothers may get to see and have their kids, but the dads are shoved to the side and told no...no...no. This place is the same as it was 20 years ago....a last ditch effort at getting your money for minimal results.
