This nationally acclaimed joint venture between Sparrow Hospital and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital provides specialized inpatient rehabilitative care for patients who are recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation or other serious trauma with outstanding patient outcomes. 

Here, at our 40-bed CARF-accredited unit, you’ll receive a comprehensive interdisciplinary individualized treatment plan and at least three hours of daily physical, occupational and speech therapy five out of seven days to rebuild day-to-day skills. This unit was renovated in 2015-16 and features private patient rooms and state-of-the-art features.

Mary Free Bed also offers an outpatient rehabilitation center, Mary Free Bed at Sparrow Day Rehab, for patients who can benefit from intensive therapy while living at home, so you can continue in your rehabilitation journey while getting back to your normal routine.
