Helping people reach their potential is one of the most rewarding things we do at Spartanburg Regional Rehabilitation Services. We work alongside physicians to provide expert rehabilitation therapy to help our patients meet their individual goals.

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System offers a variety of rehabilitation services for people of all ages to help them achieve the highest level of function, independence, and quality of life.

The three main types of rehabilitation therapy services are:

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Outpatient rehabilitation services are treatments received when not admitted to a hospital or clinic. Our outpatient therapy clinics offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy for a wide range of conditions including cancer, neurological disorders, pelvic floor dysfunction, speech problems, joint replacement, sports injuries, and more.

Inpatient Rehabilitation

Inpatient, or acute care rehabilitation, refers to treatment or therapy received while in a hospital or clinic prior to being discharged.

Spartanburg Medical Center’s Center for Rehabilitative Medicine is located on the SMC Mary Black Campus and is designed for patients who experience amputation, brain injury, stroke, broken bones, spinal cord injury or joint replacement. Sometimes these patients may require a longer course of therapy in an inpatient setting to recover to a point where they can safely go home.

The Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care is a licensed freestanding 97-bed, long-term acute-care hospital (LTACH) and a licensed 25-bed skilled nursing facility.

Pediatric Services

In addition to adult rehabilitation, we have a comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation program that treats patients from birth to the age of 21.
