Welcome to Specialty Orthopaedics. We are an orthopedic surgery practice based in Hermitage, PA. Specialty Orthopaedics was founded in 1994 by Dr. Robert Piston, a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon. A surgeon for over 25 years, Dr. Piston completed fellowships in both hip and knee replacement surgery and hand/upper extremity microsurgery.

Knowing patients and their families lead very busy lives, Specialty Orthopaedics maintains an 11,000 square feet, state-of-the-art rehabilitation center which is conveniently located below our Hermitage medical offices. Our professional, friendly rehabilitation staff specialize in the care and treatment of all orthopedic conditions and treatment options are always based on the patient’s individual needs.

Adjacent to the rehabilitation center is our wellness center that provides customized fitness and exercise programs for all age groups. Our wellness center has a long history of developing successful programs for adults, children, athletes, senior citizens and individuals with “special” needs.

Erin is very professional and knows her job! She is always knowledgeable about my problems and very kind! She is tough but knows exactly what I should be able to do and never hurts me! She pushes me just hard enough to get great results! She is very fast also and does many things at one time and all very well! I am happy to have her for my therapist!

I love this place and I truly appreciate Leroy. I’ve been to a few physical therapy places before, and I’ve rarely come across a therapist that really cares about everything that’s going on with me as much as Leroy does. He is completely honest with me about everything I need to do to come back from my broken leg. I would highly recommend him and this place for any kind of physical therapy one needs!

Leroy Clark is a man of his word. He was always asking how I felt n if I had any issues or any concerns. Leroy called all patients by the name n we all felt he was always honest n trustworthy. He had his staff busy n he kept the entire building clean n no debris was was laying around.. If Leroy didnt have a date or time on appointment he got it done right way. As a therapist he set a agenda n goals n he explained everything very clear. Leroy was always on time n always has a smile on his face. He made u feel u belonged there n he made u feel that his team n himself would help me hit our personal goals..Leaders like Leroy r far n few apart. He always made time if he was walking by n if he give a suggestion to your therapy he always stopped n took the time with everyone so at the end of day or week he put in a very professional day. My honest option there aren’t many Tom Brady’s n there aren’t many Leroy’s Clark . Leroy Clark devotes his energy n wisdom to make Dr Piston s office n orthopedic surgeon n the best in therapy center in the tri-state area.. I came in not knowing what to expect and realized very quickly I was in good hands. Everyone and I mean everyone goes above and beyond to make sure all of my goals are met and that I have a productive recovery. Dennis and Michelle really follow what Dr. Piston sets as a standard and they follow through with how the patient feels as well. I’m very happy with my recovery. 🙂
