What is Suboxone® (Buprenorphine)?
Suboxone® (Buprenorphine) therapy is one of the most promising substance abuse treatments for opiate addiction.
Buprenorphine is the active ingredient in Suboxone® and is itself an opioid. But unlike opioid prescription painkillers and heroin, which are “full opioid agonists,” buprenorphine is a “partial opioid agonist.” That means the buprenorphine in Suboxone attaches to the same receptors in the brain that the other opioids attach to, but it does not provide the high associated with pain killers and heroin. Because buprenorphine binds tightly to the body’s opioid receptors, it can block the effects of other opioids. This is why Suboxone film can help patients manage and reduce withdrawal symptoms as well as the cravings for opioid use.
Buprenorphine is prescribed by a licensed physician under DEA guidelines and restrictions for the treatment of opioid dependence.

Michele Alvarez Flores1 Starcounselors there dont care about none of their patients. as long as they get their money. people need to get off this medication slowly to better themselves. i have tried to reach out and get my bf off the medication slowly but his counselor just ignores and tattles on me. people cant be on this medication forever.Wednesday 12th May 2021
Jessica Charlton3 StarI'll start with the good. The dosing nurses are nice, the ladies at the front desk are nice, and my councilor is nice. All these people are friendly and helpful and they almost make up for the bad. These people are the reason I gave three stars instead of one.
The only person I had a problem with was the doctor. Right away the doctor asked me a question then ignored my answer. I know he ignored my answer because of how he responded. He also interrupted me and talked over me the whole time. At one point I disagreed with something he said and he continued talking louder and louder until I stopped talking. He didn't want to hear anything I had to say but expected me to listen to what he had to say. He is arrogant and rude. I am paying alot of money for treatment and I don't appreciate being denied basic respect. Lucky for me I don't have to see the doctor very often.Friday 12th March 2021

Bryan Mcdougall5 StarThis is one of the best clinics I have been to I see some people or Downing on some of the employees but maybe you need to go to Crossroads off Randolph park and ride and y'all want to see some rude employees try that stop sa is the best methadone clinic I have been to everyone is nice and always helpful and the people that are down in on them shoot you don't know what rude really is thank you for all the employees at stop SA you'll have done so much for me and my wife Heidi thank you so much we couldn't have got this far without you allSaturday 9th January 2021
