In a perfect world your love ones would never be placed in a nursing home. They would live with there families who know them and love them. Unfortunately that is not the world we live in. Those of us who have been care providers for family members, but also have to work and take care of our admit families, know that this is an impossible task. I am very thankful that I found Summit Park. They put me at ease that my sister would get the proper care that she needed. Summit Park has kept me in the loop about what is going on with my sisters health and well-being. At any time she might need any special medication or attention they have informed me in order to get my approval. I also visit my sister and I see the interaction that takes place between her and the staff. I can truly say she is well cared for with the love that they show her. The people at Summit Park make it a habit at going out of there way taking care of my sister, not because it’s there job it’s because they are caring Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Activity Planners just to name a few. Since the Pandemic hit everyone at Summit has made it there top priority to put in place special protocols that would keep all of there patients safe from Covid 19. I for one think Summit has done an excellent job at maintaining a safe environment not only for my sister and other patients, but for the staff as well. Thanks to everyone at Summit.

My mother-in-law had stayed at Summit Park Health and Rehabilitation Center from July 27 to Aug 18 after 2 weeks+ hospital stay for acute kidney infection with sepsis and difficulty breathing. It was scary time for the family for her husband was also hospitalized at the same time and family was just overwhelmed with what was going on. Hospital has suggested her to go to rehabilitation center. We chose Summit based on the reviews on website. I was very pleased with her stay there. Yes, you can only see your loved ones on specific date and time you make advance appointment on but that is to ensure everyone’s safety. They did very good job keeping away the spread of covid19 for sure. When I visited mom, I saw therapist working with residents constantly. Mom made wonderful recovery with help of staff at Summit. Every time I went to see her, she got stronger and stronger. At first she was on wheel chair with nasal cannula, when she got out on Aug 18, she was walking with cane alone without oxygen! She was happy with the meal provided. Only negative encounter she had was some of the staff at night gave her a hard time sometimes but we had spoken with the management and it was resolved right away. Everyone I had encountered seemed to be friendly yet professional, compassionate, and caring. The facility is well loved, rich in history, it may not be the state of the art building but it was well maintained, clean, and people who works there create warm and welcoming environment. I thank you all for great care you have given to my mother-in-law and difference you have made in her recovery.

Allows people to stay in wet depends for hours. Slow to give patients pain meds. Patients will not be given face wipes or hand wipes before eating. Patients stay in the bed all day with no movement. Room Lights stay on day and night. Poor food quality. Staff will hang up on you if you call to get help for your loved one. Basic kindness is very limited. More concerned with scheduling visits than taking care of the patients. Loud disturbing patients are kept in the rooms with one's that need quiet. Several staff appear unconcerned and claim that they are overwhelmed. The very least of care is barely provided.
