I visited summitstone during a mental health crisis in hopes of receiving immediate psychiatric care, since my doctor was unable to treat me until the following Wednesday. Was in the waiting room for 4 hours, during which I was interviewed by a therapist, that pivoted hard away from my information to educate me on the subject matter of her dissertation. Having been to grad school myself I’ve experienced no shortage of white people giving me their opinion on Buddhist thought as well as attempting to build emotional alliance by finger wagging at “western society”. After being omitted to a room that had the comfort level of an interrogation cell, I waited , mostly alone for another four hours. There were brief times of talking to a nurse and one group therapy session that consisted of the patients being asked if they wished “therapy” to be board games or a group work sheet on self esteem. This lasted about 15 minutes. After dinner of a lean cuisine and an apple, some opted to watch cartoons. There was also a large tub of playdo sitting out in the common area that was listed as an option for “therapy”. I asked to to talk to a therapist so that I might be allowed to go home. ( I was told that I would not receive psychiatric care until the following day.) I was ok’d to leave after filling out a work sheet on home safety and coping mechanisms. I think this type of care may be beneficial to a younger individual who’s family may need assistance. But I’d suggest if someone is experiencing immediate psychiatric need to please go the emergency room.

This place is a joke and they don't help you. Ya they will take your money for you to sit And fill out paperwork tell them whats going on in ur life and they take advantage of the situation. After a couple year's they will just start repeating back to you. WHAT WAS FIRST YOUR IDEA. BUT THEY SAID YOU WERE WRONG BUT YOU WERE RIGHT TO BEGIN WITH. KNOWING MY SITUATION. WHAT THEY SAY HAPPENENED TO ME TO MAKE ME THIS WAY AND INSTEAD OF helping they give you meds to knock you out

Second time trying to seek help for a aging women all alone who just needs support, the things they do cause anxiety, unfriendly, unproffesional. I am not a one.size fits all. I am a women struggling to find a way in a cold world alone. They see you as a number and paycheck. Medicaid is allowing these services to do aweful thing. That create stress.I am not a criminal .Rude unorganized and they didnt even know what was going on I don t need group therapy. I need help before I am homeless. Due to lack of unique service. Never again I will die first.

I was shocked to see like 4 SummitStones in my area. That's good, so I don't know where to exactly leave this review. But yes, I'm a single dad with full custody going through a tough custody case. They referred me to a really smart therapist (I'm a nerd), and I want to make sure he gets his kudos and he works for this company. I'm just not really comfortable leaving specific names. But I think if you be with them long enough and go with the flow you get transferred to the right therapist that's for you. I mean they are an organization and have waiting lists, and calling around every therapist is filled up or have high demand after covid. My first therapist wasn't an exact fit, but magically, she knew the exact fit without me saying anything and it's great.
