This place has literally save my life. Considering Allumbaugh House is a non-profit that doesn't accept payment or health insurance, they work harder and with more compassion then any other treatment facility in the valley. (I've been through a few of them, though I'm not proud of it.) They treat everyone that comes through there doors with kindness, equality and patience and understanding. 5 stars every time.

The Allumbaugh House is incredible, and has helped several friends of mine turn their lives around, assist them through detox, and helped get them set up with outpatient treatment. To answer some questions/concerns, found in the reviews - - The average length of stay is 5 to 7 days, however opiate detox services last 7 to 10 days. - They can only accept patients that live in the Region 4 district, so Ada, Elmore, Boise and Valley County. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (one of its major funding partners) has determined the residency criteria. Nampa and Caldwell residents are in District 3, and must access services based out of their region. - This is a voluntary facility so patients have to willingly want to come in for services. - They are non-profit, so they don’t have funds for a full time receptionist. Patients or family members/friends referring someone have to leave a message with a good phone number on the general voicemail box line, and staff does phone calls back throughout the day. After a few days, they won’t keep calling without someone making contact with them. - Cell phone time is from 10:30am to 11:00am, and 6:00pm to 6:30pm. You can call the patient line, and patients can answer anytime it is not group time. If it is during group time, before 6:00am, or after 11:00pm, the line will just ring and ring because the phones aren’t accessible for patient use then. - Patients coming in for detox can refer themselves, however patients for mental health services have to be referred from another agency, such as the E.R., Mobile Crisis, crisis center, their doctor or counselor.

This place is a life saver. When you have no where to go except up, this place is an excellent step in the right direction. Me and my husband have almost 2 years clean thanks to the friendly staff and great food. Thank you!! We need more places like this to help our city help their citizens become normal functioning without the use of drugs or alcohol.
