So glad we made the decision to move my grandma here. The assisted living staff are wonderful. It is a very tight knit community between both the staff and the residents, with opportunities to participate in therapy with the amazing rehab department and various facility activities put on by an awesome activities department. I love getting to work alongside all of these people who care so well for my grandma and treat her like their own family member.

I love working at HCR of Leawood. The people I work with continue to impress me every single day with the knowledge and care that is provided for our residents. There is a genuine respect and appreciation between the different departments which makes this place a true joy to work at. I feel so very blessed to be able to come in here day after day and work with so many amazing people and to be able to call this place my work home.

The management at this facility is incompetent. I called twice to inquire about private pay, long-term care, and nobody ever returned my call. In order to compensate for the lost business caused by slackers in the business office, they are encouraging employees to write reviews for the facility in order to boost their google ratings. This is obvious and it is PATHETIC and UNETHICAL. If management is unethical in this regard, just think about how they will deal with residents. The medical staff at the facility do a GREAT job, and they should not be asked by management to write reviews for the facility; again, this is unethical, and it is a conflict of interest that google does not tolerate. I'm continuing to flag every single review of this type so that google removes the reviews. The management at this facility is worse than useless, and it is unfortunate how this ends up reflecting poorly on the good, hard-working staff who provide good care. Asking the staff to write reviews for the facility is asking the staff to be unethical. Shame on the management. If management did its job, they wouldn't have to ask staff to behave unethically. FIRE THE MANAGEMENT, and you'll have good ratings. And you'll have more business. Check the call logs, and find out what the lazy idiots in the office have been doing to this fine facility.

Don't pay attention to the rating number for this facility. You can see a new bunch of reviews coming from employees. Undoubtedly the facility has asked employees to jack up the rating numbers, which is a conflict of interest. And I am flagging these as such. Google has a provision for flagging this situation because they know this is unethical. Here's the problem with the facility: I called and asked about a long-term private-pay stay, and nobody ever called me back. Nobody. I called more than once, too. Everyone on the administrative side would be fired if I were running this facility. They're either lazy or incompetent. The medical staff is neither lazy, nor incompetent, but they look bad because of how this facility is managed. Try calling their number on the phone and the odds are that nobody will answer. The number they have posted out front is invalid. They're totally incompetent on the administrative side, and they should all be fired. The medical staff is hardworking, polite and highly competent. Shame on whoever is running the office.
