I write this review a former resident and manager of a TLC house. I know the staff and I know the motives behind their business practice. This is a dishonest company run by profit driven intentions. I have been in the rooms and I know the sober living landscape of San Francisco and the Peninsula. TLC, as of today, is a sober living company that has consistently done more harm than good to the people who are looking to establish a strong aftercare living situation. The process for allowing anyone in, despite their criminal or mental health back ground on top f their issues of addiction very much degrade the health and stability of many of their houses. The house managers have no training and most (and almost all previous) are now part of a federal lawsuit led by the U.S. Department of Labor. As they continue to decline they are losing what was once any part of a reputable staff or team and is soley about cashing in as much as possible before the company folds. There are few if any houses I would recommend in TLC. I write this to help the other TLC managers and potential incoming residents to look further and reach out to others who are doing things for the benefit of others in recovery, not to satisfy the pocketbooks of the owners of this company
