Toxicology Associates of North Georgia, Inc. (TANG) is a private outpatient medical practice devoted to the treatment of Chronic Opioid Dependence. The primary goal in treatment is helping patients improve the quality of their lives by improved health and rehabilitation.  What is methadone maintenance treatment (MMT)? MMT is a comprehensive treatment program that involves the long-term prescribing of methadone as an alternative to the opioid on which the client was dependent. Central to MMT is the provision of counselling, case management and other medical and psychosocial services -- which are afforded to you as a patient at TANG.

Staff was replaced constantly. Never had the same counselor for more than a few weeks. The owner doesn't care about anything but the money. If you have insurance, find one the several clinics that accept insurance and will bill it. I asked several times for an itemized statement with the ICD10 code so I could submit claims to my insurance. No one knew anything about medical billing and they had a difficult time just printing anything out.

This place saved my life. I love my counselor, she’s very easy to talk to. She pretty much has an open door policy, anytime you need to talk she’s right there on her office with her listening ears on. The other staff members are great as well. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs the help.

I have been going to tang for the past two years and the staff have been wonderful. Although there have been problems with one of the owners, Desmond, and staff turnover , the place is overall a good place to go to. The clinical director, Ms. Naomi is the best thing that happened to this place; she treats everyone as a human being not an addict.

I have been to a couple of clinics and this one is by far the best The clinical director, Naomi, is really thorough and understanding and she will do her best to pair you with a counselor that will suit your specific needs. Naomi also listens to my needs as the patient and she really makes me feel like she cares about me and that I am valued, she never makes me feel like I'm "just a patient" or less of a person because I made some mistakes in my life that led me to ending up at the clinic.
