We were originally referred to Transitions Counseling for our two teenage sons. We were quickly impressed and transformed our sessions into family sessions! 6 months in and we can see tremendous improvement in how we ALL communicate! Our sessions are fun, intense when they need to be, and catered to our family beliefs. Super thankful for the unexpected blessings and growth we've received from our time together. I am continually amazed that our kids willingly wake up for Saturday therapy more than they do for church!

Ms. LaVurne Williams is a outstanding therapist. She worked well with our family dealing teen transitioning,communication, and coping skills in regards to family dynamics. LaVurne really cares about her clients and it shows through her flexibility and tireless ways of getting to the root of the problems we faced. We always felt after our family sessions we were much better than we came. She’s a true professional and is highly recommended.

My teenage son has been seeing LaVurne since January of 2020. We have seen such an improvement in his behavior, his mood, and his attitude. We couldn’t be happier with LaVurne’s unwavering dedication to helping our son navigate through teenage challenges. She has truly already made a difference in his life and we are so grateful and thankful to have found her! I have already recommended her to my friend for her daughter, she really is THAT fantastic.

We had the opportunity for LaVurne Williams to work with our teenage son who has ADHD and anxiety. She truly gets this population and was able to provide him (and us) with a better understanding of his behavior and why he responds to situations like he does. She made us all comfortable from the first day and gave him her cell contact information to reach out to her whenever he needed. We were happy when he was discharged and to see how much he had benefitted from therapy; but sad to see our relationship with her end (but he still has her number if ever needed!). Thanks LaVurne, we all learned and grew because of you!

Dan Thompson and his group of highly trained therapists, including most notably LaVurne Williams, are excellent. I can't recommend them and Transitions Counseling Services highly enough.
