Isolation is a terrible thing for those with an addiction. Gary De Carolis, former Director of the Center, talks about how critical it is to reach out for your recovery during the COVID-19 outbreak. We at the Turning Point Center of Chittenden County encourage you to make connections to keep you moving forward. The Moms in Recovery Program carves out a safe, judgment-free space for moms, in recovery, to connect and bridge the gap between their sobriety and community. By connecting mothers and their children to a wide variety of services, participants of the program are able to grow their sobriety and form healthy relationships. Our Moms in Recovery Program Recovery Peer Support Specialists are sober individuals who entered recovery in a variety of ways and serve as direct support for those seeking advice or guidance in solving the various hurdles that may arise while seeking out their own sustained recovery. Our Peer Support Specialists Coaches draw on their own long-term recovery experiences to connect with others similarly affected by addiction. By being a member of an individual’s medical care team, Coaches use their first-hand knowledge to directly identify with the crisis that caused the patient to enter the Emergency Department. Find Your Recovery Coach I have both mental illness and alcoholism. I don’t work that much or go to school so instead of spending 24 hours in my apartment, I come here to make friends, be useful, and hopefully find recovery from my self-destructive behaviors. – Anonymous The Turning Point for me has been a healthy, safe, and positive environment for to spend my time, reflect, and gain help and support. The Center brings a great opportunity to meet sober people and mingle among the sober community – something that is essential to my recovery. The Turning Point offers so much more than a chance for sobriety. The staff is helpful and wonderful, and I enjoy myself each time I visit. – Jon The Turning Point Center of Chittenden County is a dedicated, compassionate community that provides recovery support services in a safe, substance-free environment for individuals and families on multiple paths to self-discovery and sustained recovery.

The Turning Point in Burlington is a horrible place to have AA and NA meetings. Not only is their a lot of drug use that takes place at the Turning Point, but I have personally known of PAID employees ( and volunteers), that were drinking and using drugs while working there; meanwhile "coaching" other addicts and alcoholics as to why they should not pick up. Hypocrites. And not a healthy environment for people in recovery.
