I love this place. It literally saved my life. The protocols that are in place make recovery possible if you are willing to work the steps and follow direction. I recommend Turning Point to anyone seeking sound treatment with consistent protocols geared for recovery. Staff is amazing and are truly concerned with your well being and success. I will always recommend Turning Point. Almost 2 years sober and loving my life and my sobriety.

FOR THOSE SEEKING TREATMENT FOR AN EATING DISORDER: I hate writing negative reviews, but I just hope to prevent one person from going through what I went through. I can't and won't speak on substance abuse, because that isn't a problem I face. I will, however, speak upon Turning Point's eating disorder treatment program. They sucked me in by telling me during my assessment that they prohibited white flour and sugar. I assumed they meant that triggering foods wouldn't be allowed in treatment. That's not the case. They posit that you don't eat foods containing white flour and sugar for the rest of your life. You weigh and measure every morsel that goes onto your plate. It doesn't matter if you go out to a restaurant, or it's your birthday, or your family makes you dinner. Everything must be portioned perfectly. If you make a mistake, they tell you that you've relapsed. They glorify weight loss as well. It's sick. It made me have more fear foods at the end of treatment than before going in. Please save yourself the time and money. Find a different eating disorder treatment center. Food isn't black and white. It shouldn't be. I've seen it happen time and time again: people come out of Turning Point, weighing and measuring all of their food. They make one mistake and then quit. Believing they're not capable of recovery. Turning Point makes you believe their way is the only way. It's not. Call and ask for their stats on eating disorders. They only tell you that 80% of people who go in will complete the program. They keep in touch with those with substance abuse, but not those with eating disorders. It's for a reason. They asked me if I wanted to be contacted after treatment. They only ever asked me if I was using drugs or alcohol. I offered to tell them how my eating disorder recovery was going.

All the staff was kind and professional to me. At the Eating Disorders house, the Eating Disorders clients ate all meals together. Jon, the Eating Disorders Therapist would visit the the Eating Disorders house at breakfast to motivate and encourage us clients. This visitation was such a nice blessing to begin our day.

Turning Point saved my life. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity I had to go there. It was clear to me that ethical practice and the success of the clients were the two most important factors in how the therapeutic community operates.
