This place is horrible. They give medical information to people that are not supposed to have it. They do not help you when you call and ask for help (i know this from experience).

My stay at UPMC HOSPITAL was the best experience ever nurses where wonderful to me I couldn't have asked for better treatment. Dr. Hunter as usual was the best surgeon, everyone I met that was there was nothing but Great no complaints.

At first it was pretty good then the further the ER visit went the worst it got . From being here going on 7hrs to hearing screaming and crying to having to silence our own monitors because nobody comes and checks then to hippa being thrown out the window because you hear everyone's business in the hall . Oh and there is no call bells they have actual ding bells you ring by hand about 3 or more times till someone comes cause who knows which room it's from or if it is even heard. Now I know I totally get that it is crazy and busy and hard to find workers that is one of the reasons we tried coming here instead of Mt. Nittany due to all the craziness. We heard it was better and we did walk right in and put in a room but from about an hour into it it was totally a different place . So no I would definitely not rate our time here as anywhere near decent. One thing we did see was the cleaning staff does makes its rounds alot to check garbage and laundry oh thank God the security guy is here to check on patients and what they need if they ding their bell.

Only giving one star because there’s no option for zero stars. Son spent 4 hrs there to be treated for chronic constipation they ran every test they could to run up the bill and after 4 hrs I pulled my son and took him to upmc walk in clinic where they gave a laxative and sent on our way which is what should have happened 5 hrs prior at the first stop I’m now in the process of having the visit rebuked by the insurance company for fraudulent testing and exposing them all for what they are wanna be doctors!!!!
