Some of the employees are nice, but their views are ancient. This clinic breathalyzes you every morning, forbids any alcohol consumption, and worst of all, during this corona virus pandemic, they have refused me my dose more than once knowing I don't drink, because their own hand sanitizer set off their own breathalyzer. Thankfully they fixed this, though they refused to take responsibility for their error, blaming it on the patient. They wont even let you re-breathalyze to prove their error. They're addicts, they must be drunk. Sober people don't make mistakes. That's their way of thinking. Worst part is, not everyone here is an addict, some are pain patients, but they get treated the same. I don't need to say much else, you can probably guess the other nonsense I've had to deal with at this clinic just from that little bit.. There's a reason everyone going here is on the wait list for Pathways clinic.

Worst methodone clinic in Rochester. Its run more like a prision. They purposely make you come six days a week so they can make more money off of you. Clean time means nothing here if you want to get take homes. Strong Methdone is liquid handcuffs. Most of the staff is arrogant ..Paul, dr eve, window one.... Anywhere is better than strong Methdone. From a two year patient who really wants to switch to Pathways.

I've been in the Strong Recovery Methadone Maintenance program for a little over a month now and I must say I am very pleasantly surprised. I am sure their general recovery program is just as great, but for this review I will be focusing on MMT. I had previously been on Suboxone maintenance for almost two years through a doctor who required me to attend Unity Chemical Dependency in Greece. Not only has Methadone been working far better for me than Buprenorphine as a medication, but the facilities at Strong are far better than that of Unity's in my opinion. I already feel as though the staff cares far more about their patients even down at an individual level, and it makes a huge difference. When I meet with my counselor, he asks me how I'm feeling with my dose and works with me to make sure I'm comfortable. Not only that, but he has made an effort to help me with any other issues I may be having. My Suboxone doctor would not increase my dose at all or even allow me to split doses despite however I told him I felt. I can definitely tell a difference in the effort Strong puts into working with their patients to ensure they are receiving the highest quality of care rather than prioritizing their own agenda. Really the only negative things I have to say about it are that the intake/orientation process for MMT is very long and drawn-out, and the process of increasing your dose to a comfortable level is very slow. I've heard of other clinics around the nation dosing new patients during the first appointment, while it takes 3-4 days here and it still takes hours on the day of your first dose to actually receive it. However I understand that MMT is highly regulated and there are strict guidelines that must be followed. Overall if you put the effort in and have patience at first I really think that this is an exceptional program for those who have not had success with anything or anywhere else.
