Vanderman place is a caring facility, where residents express their happiness and satisfaction often. The staff have one of the best work ethics in the industry and work hard in a daily basis. Residents enjoy seeing familiar staff daily who have been with the facility for years. The longevity with staff is a testament to a pleasant work environment. I work per diem at this place about 3 or 4 yrs ago. The summer time was very hot in that place. There was no air conditioners. There was two big fans at each end of the hall. There's alot of favoritism with aides that been there for along time. Some aides come in any time they're please to. Also there was mandatory freeze in time if the next shift was short some of the regulars wouldn't do the freeze in time so it was left to the new workers. The only good thing about being freeze in was you get paid a little bit more and you don't have stay the whole shift. Just make sure you check your pay check they were always messing up on my pay check. One more thing, everybody family at that place so watch what you say about people. I did love my residents and I miss them but that place was a learning experience of how management can do you dirty with a blink of the eye. It doesn't matter how long ago I work there I'm given people information about this place. I've been in the health field many yrs and know what a good nursing home is.Vanderman place isn't one of them .

looks like people have there own agenda in reviews, especially the post with someone work here 3/4 years ago and makes a post last week? reviews should be taken with grain of salt from x employees , these negative x employees probably had poor work ethics and personal issues.

My experience with the staff has been exceptional. I have been in communication with them and they go above and beyond to make sure my grandmother is well and cared for. Everyone I have interacted with in person and over the phone have been wonderful. I am very grateful to them.

worst place to work especially when your new to being a CNA and have bad anxiety they dont help you learn the ropes. staff are highly disrespectful and they'll try to get you fired for being new to this career
