About Volusia County Comprehensive Treatment Center in Port Orange, FL

Located in Port Orange, Florida, Volusia County Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides personalized outpatient treatment for adults who are struggling with opioid use disorder, which is the clinical term for addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, and other opioids. Our opioid addiction treatment center in Port Orange offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older of all genders.

MAT is a time-tested, research-supported form of opioid addiction treatment that has been used in the United States for several decades. MAT combines prescription medications with counseling to help adults end their opioid use and build a solid foundation for long-term recovery.

When MAT was first offered at methadone clinics in the U.S., patients only had one medication option. Today, reputable opioid addiction treatment centers such as Volusia County CTC in Port Orange, Florida, are authorized to offer multiple medications. Based on the results of a thorough assessment and a consultation with a member of our medical staff, patients at Volusia County CTC may receive a prescription for methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone.

Therapies Used at Our Methadone Clinic in Port Orange, FL

When used as directed by a qualified professional, the medications that are provided at methadone clinics and facilities such as Volusia County CTC can alleviate the cravings and other distressing withdrawal symptoms that would otherwise develop when a person stops using opioids. But neither methadone nor other medications can prepare people to make the lifestyle changes that will support their successful pursuit of long-term opioid addiction recovery.

To address the behavioral and social aspects of recovery, our opioid addiction treatment center in Port Orange, Florida, offers individual and group counseling to all patients. During counseling sessions, adults can gain valuable information about opioid addiction and recovery, practice healthy communication and relapse prevention skills, receive focused feedback, and share support with others who are working toward similar goals.

Individual and group counseling sessions at our outpatient opioid addiction treatment center in Port Orange are safe and supportive environments where patients can take important steps on their path to long-term recovery from opioid addiction.

What to Expect at Volusia County CTC

When you choose to begin your recovery journey at our opioid addiction treatment facility in Port Orange, you will receive personalized care and comprehensive support from a team of dedicated professionals. If all you know about MAT is that methadone clinics can provide medication to ease withdrawal symptoms, you may be pleasantly surprised to discover how much additional assistance you can receive at Volusia County CTC.

At our facility in Port Orange, we understand that everyone who struggles with opioid addiction has been impacted in a unique way, and we’re committed to providing the customized services that will help you achieve your specific goals as you work toward long-term recovery. I never give 5 stars because we all have room for improvement, myself included. I've been to many methadone clinics in my life time but what I like most about this clinic is location, service and most importantly they make me feel like family. It took a while for me to get there but I was coming off of the streets and my active addiction. I had a very poor attitude in the beginning and felt like everyone was judging me. Today I know everyone on a positive note from the director, Ashley to my dosing nurses Kristen and Shannon. Nicole who greets you at the door, Amber who provides the details of the program and my awesome, overwhelmed counselor Brian who who takes the time to listen to my little problems regardless of how busy he is. Oh yes, let's not forget the doctor. If you come here with a positive attitude, honestly seeking help for your disease and follow their instructions you will find the help that you need. It all depends on you. They're here to help and guide you along the way but you have to be the one to make the changes otherwise you're not ready and it would be a waste of your time, money and resources.
