VPI Bennington is committed to providing individualized comprehensive services to children and adolescents who often have experienced complex developmental trauma. Our students, in response to their life experiences; can present with a constellation of adaptive mechanisms that have become distressing symptoms. These symptoms often present as self-harm, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, aggression, suicidality, as well as disordered eating. We believe the students who come to us deserve a safe and secure environment where they can find hope and healing. Our programming affords children and adolescents the opportunity to make connections with others, to grow and discover their gifts, and realize their potential to thrive. We facilitate growth-promoting experiences through secure relationships that increase the student’s ability to self-regulate and manage their inner lives in order to optimize feelings of safety, confidence, and competency. I went to that place it was okay but I always thought that place is supposed to help u. I tried to get help and I always thought it was helpful. I have known many staff members and kids there who had a hard time. I understand that we many all struggle but there is always a healing in life. If u need help I would convince u to talk to josh bull or Mell Hicky I have always known that they are always the one to help u in any situation. They always will have your back or solve a problem. They might tell u u are there for 30 days that isn't always true. I was there for a year and a half. I have never been restrained before and never have so my advice would be to think before u do something. Jack at school always gave out nicknames and I still have a nickname panini because my last name is Benini. I will never forget that name. My advice for u would be is to try to be good, strive , if u need help don't punch things because u might get restrained so talk it out with a staff member there always there to help. Grow. Be smart.

I did my growing up here. When nobody was there BSI had taken me in and helped me with my anger. I thank all of the OGs. Lenny and Mark for our hockey trips, Jeremiah and Colleen for my school days in the Annex dorm, Scott and Shelly for fighting my case through and through, Keith (R.I.P), weezy, and Hilder for being the dopest staff I ever ran into in any residential, not to discredit any others, just those three pulled me from some dark places. I now work with troubled you in a residential home and am glad to say that Bennington helped me find out a purpose in life. So many years spent and so many tears wept. This place has went from hell and back and I hope it continues doing it's beautiful work.
