I came here in 2001 or 2002 as a ten yr old girl when this place first opened..Everything was prand new the staff the rooms the bedding the kitchen..Im sad to hear a place that I ever felt safe and actually loved turnes into a place that has such bad reviews the calm of my new room and the landscape the Amazing Staff her name was either melody or melanie..Cant remember Idk after all my trauma this was the one place i was okay with being placed it..srry it sickes for all after it became frequented but it was a profound safe place for me..

I cannot thank Warwick House staff enough for the therapy they extended to my daughter while she was there for 5 months! The environment was a tough one (reason for four stars), but when a child and family want help with past traumas, the therapy is top notch! My daughter is back at home and we will always be grateful for the help she was given at a time when she just didn’t believe life was worth living.

I was here for 5 months (my mom reviewed below) the environment was very rough and many of the staff didn’t know how to deal with the kids. On a daily basis they have kids running down the roads and out of control. The staff were very emotionally and mentally abusive to me, I did get help there and learned how to use coping skills. Which is why I gave at least 2 stars. My therapist was nice but found a lot of ways to get me triggered during therapy and she knew of my past and brought up things on purpose to upset me. We were hardly fed enough, and there was no seconds on protein. A lot of the time we would be left hungry and our only option for a snack is fruit. The staff also are trained in holds, but many of them use too much force. I remember one day I was in a hold because I was trying to self harm and I felt like my arm was breaking. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone because most night I was not able to sleep because of screaming kids. Everyone was completely out of control. I couldn’t wait to leave and thought I did have some staff I liked, it was a pretty negative environment.

I live close by and judging by what I have seen from the outside, I shudder to think what goes on inside. Children run off of the property on a daily basis, and have been seen all the way out on Bristol Road which is a main, dark road. Children have ran from there after dark which is even more dangerous. And the cursing and violence that can be seen and heard is absolutely awful. The violence is what I would call abuse (i.e. children literally being dragged across the road). I do not know what the problem is but I would never want anyone that I care about anywhere near that place. It should be shut down.

I was a resident three years ago when I was fourteen; I was treated very poorly by the staff and administrators. They had an intensifying bedbug problem and instead of calling the exterminators to cease the issue, Warwick Staff prolonged it by denying it for a while. I was bitten pretty badly every night for weeks on my toes, legs, arms etc. The nurse treated them as mosquito bites being that we were outside so often. The general aroma of the establishment is reminiscent of stagnant urine (one of the first things I noticed when I was admitted). I spent almost five months as a part of Warwick House and do be wary; most of the staff are still in grad school just looking for that extra ‘gig’ on their resume. I’ve overheard plenty of inappropriate conversations and none of the Warwick Staff are against showing favoritism. I’ve been to a handful of these kinds of establishments and have seen many twisted, unexpected things happen to myself and other people’s children behind closed doors. I would not recommend Warwick House to anyone that needs genuine behavioral/mental health help. Unless you’re looking for a fat camp; the diet they keep you on here is a 1000 cal. diet (slice of microwaved lunch meat, peas, scoop of mashed potatoes PLUS half a PB&J before bed!) I lost 30 lbs in 4 1/2 months. There are other options.
