I am a former client from White Horse Ranch. I was impatient 5 months and Graduated the program in July, 2021. This place has given me so many resources and skills. Putting your child here is a great choice. My mom chose White Horse Ranch because it is a safe environment where I could start my recovery and gain a bond with a horse. Spending time with horses can change your life in ways you didn’t know. Learning the responsibility of taking care of these animals everyday was a awesome experience. I was given a second chance, where I knew I wouldn’t be judged, just encouraged to keep fighting. While at WHR I learned coping skills to keep my monsters at bay and tamed. I suggest White Horse Ranch to anyone who is struggling with trauma, substance abuse, and/or depression. This place does wonders!

Last year was rough. The intake person at WHR was the first person I had spoken to, after 3 other hospitalizations, that was helpful in helping with my struggling daughter. The admission process was easier here then anywhere else we had tried. Thank God. My daughter gets very homesick away from home and to be honest she was never extremely homesick at WHR. My daughter is also a picky eater BUT the food at WHR is "amazing(her words)." She loved her horse and most importantly loved the staff. My daughter is a much better person for being part of WHR. I am giving 4 stars out of 5 only because her medication was not managed correctly. I think that has more to do with the psychiatrist than the staff though. The psychiatrist absolutely refuses to speak to parents...AT ALL. Also, I was surprised to find out that group therapy was not run by a therapist. That seemed a little strange to me but hey....it seemed to work. If I had to do it again, I would send my kiddo for sure.

Whr helped me out so much and I've seen what it has done for other girls too and some of the techs. Its not a rehab or a ranch its a home were all family but we have to learn to grow and be ourselves and eventually leave for the better. The horses are amazing and yes there gonna challenge you but its because of potential that everyone sees in you. You just have to open up and let the process be with you. Even the longer you stay the more u learn

This place traumatized me beyond what i thought possible. If you love your child send them somewhere else. I found help in other places.

Please do not send your child here. I went here a few years ago and only now am starting to confront what happened to me here. I almost died here. I laid in a bed for 5 days with pneumonia before they took me to the hospital and finally called my parents. By that time I was in and out of consciousness, couldn’t walk and was extremely dehydrated. My condition was so severe they thought I had spinal meningitis and had to give me a spinal tap. The doctor told me if they wouldn’t waited another day to take me to the hospital I would’ve absolutely died. It could’ve been avoided if they just cared about their residents. Please do not go here. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY
