The nursing home at WRV has done an excellent overall job of caring for one of our family members for over 5 years. The overwhelming majority of the staff is superb - that includes nurses aides and nurses (who spend the most time caring for residents), doctors, receptionists, and a variety of other staff members (i.e. care conference personnel). My family found, over these years, that most staff at WRV are friendly, professional, capable, truly interested in helping residents, and many go above and beyond to give their best in ensuring the safety and good health (physical and mental) of all. Before the pandemic, the staff strove to arrange numerous social activities: entertainment (music, bands, etc), arts and crafts, bingo, bible discussions, and many others. We are even more impressed with the caution and effort of staff in protecting its residents from Coronavirus; I believe this nursing home went 6 months or so without a single case of COVID (staff or residents). To pull off this achievement and maintain the resident's and families' morale, the staff arranged Skype and Facetime calls and "porch visits" that allowed families on the porch - separated by thick plexiglass with rubber gloves attached to allow hugs without exposing residents to COVID - to visit with their loved ones on the other side of the plexiglass inside the WRV. When WRV leadership decided in early November, in harmony with Maryland safety provisions, to permit limited family in-room visits and the first cases of COVID began to appear some weeks later, WRV personnel took quick action to neutralize it's spread. We are sincerely grateful - realizing the stress these added measures, adjustments, and the pandemic itself - put on a sometimes undermanned staff, for their diligence and for the way they responded as a team to cover for one another to keep residents, staff, and family safe while maintaining everyone's spirits up as well.

I would certainly give this place zero stars or even negative stars if that were possible. Both of my parents were at this facility and neither of them received good care. My mother was told by the attending doctor incorrect information for many weeks, all while her actual back surgeon had requested to see her in person twice. "But you are my patient now" was the answer. Long story short, she laid in bed with severe pain for far too long. Only when this dump finally transport her to see her surgeon, the answer was simple and now she's doing fantastic...at a different rehab. As for my father, how can riding a stationary bike for 15 minutes a day be called physical therapy?!?! We demanded that he be discharged against Williamsport's recommendation and has progress significantly with outpatient PT each week. I strongly recommend against getting treated at this facility.

My Mom ( Betty Diamond) was sent from the hospital to Williamsport for about a month for rehab. She had excellent care from every one there. The place was always clean and neat.I would like to thank Dr V, Pam, Maria, Gina, and Melissa for the personal care that they gave Mom.
